I’m so glad you have had such a good experience with your bag. I have the marmont mini in black and have had it just over a year. 6 months after purchasing I noticed the antique gold was wearing off of the GG. The Gucci store did not offer me a new bag but offered to replace the hardware. That took several months. I received it back right before covid hit. Needless to say I have barely used it. Noticed the chain strap was starting to look a little silver toned. Took it back again they shipped it away again ( to NYC I guess) and had the chain replaced. That took over a month. Just received it back today and now I notice on the grommets where the chain feeds through the paint has very visible spots that are completely worn to the silver metal. Multiple spots. And the GG has some wear on it! Basically I am not impressed with the quality of the bag at all and am concerned with who is doing these repairs that they would damage my bag further. Beware of Gucci the quality is not there anymore: they are using poor quality finishings and charging premium prices. I will never buy from them again after this experience.

Same here. I have a Marmont small top handle bag which it's detachable clip came off very easily. Was told to pay a premium of $100 just to replace (when it's a design and manufacture issue). Ever since I got the replacement belt I have no courage to enjoy the bag since for fear the clip will come off again.

If you can't afford designer bags and feel a certain way about expensive designer bags, then don't watch this video. Like do you read a video title before clicking on it? The title makes it clear that the video will be about designer bags. I find these types of videos very helpful and although I can't afford these bags yet, I know one day I will. I wanted to know which designer bag was truly worth my hard-earned money and one that I would get the most out of. That being said, if you're reading this, thank you for sharing this video with us and please make more videos like this. Maybe HIDUPZ is your next choice?

Great in-depth review darling! Your Marmont has held up beautifully and still looks pristine. I loved that you mentioned about storing the bag with the chain strap away from the leather as this is often overlooked! Although you puzzled me about warning of wearing it crossbody. One question - how do you keep the bottom so flat? Do you fill it with pack papers when you don't wear it?

Thank you so much for the lovely comment, I'm so happy you found it helpful! And it is mostly from other people I have been told that their bags got very pointy at the top by wearing it crossbody. I don't tend to wear bags crossbody, but I can see how the chain may cause that pressure on it over time. But the problem is worse in the bigger bags. Hope that makes some sense 😁 And yes, I do stuff it with paper when I don't use it, and I use a bag liner as well, I feel like that helps a lot too!

Ahh, I do love them both, but my Marmont gets used more because it fits a bit more, I fit essentials and a few extra bits. It's a more versatile bag as well, because the chain strap can be doubled up and worn crossbody. I am obsessed with the color of it, it's just so unique and beautiful! They serve slightly different purposes because the Uptown pouch is a bit more dressy and better for very formal events, but if I had to choose, I would go for my Marmont (it's a difficult decision, though, and it is a lot more expensive, of course!).💖💖

I love the detail you give to these bag reviews! This is a beautiful bag! I love the hardware and even the heart on the back!💚 Also, this is a pretty PERFECT Shade of nude. My bag has to double sometimes as a briefcase of sorts so it must be large enough to fit a macbook. Also, because I beat them up so I couldn't allow myself to spend that. Yes, sturdy... yes, spendy, but they have to be more of a tote. I currently own a MK tote, and before that a beautiful Coach that I literally carried for 10 years,LOL! I need a new tote, LOL!

Hi lovely! 💖 I just now saw your comment, what did you decide to do? 😊 I love this version because I can wear it as a shoulder bag because of the sliding chain. But the camera bag seems to be better suited for crossbody wear, so I guess it depends a lot on which way you prefer to wear it (and what a great present!) .

Hi and welcome!! I spray only the leather portion of the strap. I know some people wrap the chain (and the logo / anything hardware) before they spray their bags, but I am too lazy to do that haha. I just try to avoid any hardware / the actual chain as much as I can and I have not seen any effect on the chain portion at all. Is this a good every day bag?

This is a little bit too small for me to use as an everyday bag these days, but I love it as a weekend or running errands type of bag. It's very convenient to wear though, either cross body or as a shoulder bag, so I love it for that. But the leather is soft, so it would probably show wear more quickly than a canvas bag or something stiffer if used every day, especially if you are a bit hard on your bags (like I can be sometimes😄).
