A Look at the 1950s London Underground and the work that goes on during the night. Although modernised, this is still an everyday occurrence today. www.imdb.com/title/tt0991286/

In an era when many of us left school aged 15, these are all skilled, experienced men. No stroppy teenage know-alls shown here.

Teenagers from every generation are the same. Just like the grouchy old folk of every generation

We was all teenagers once. And I'm sure our peers looked down on us, as well

I never realised this film was sooo interesting! It starts off in a bustling Piccadilly Circus before moving onto, well, the dead of night and is not just a documentary about the work that goes on during the night but also a glimpse into 1950s London...years before all this LUL shit. As for that track worker who discovers the broken rail, well, he could have done so a lot fucking sooner! Talk about cutting it fine, the emergency gangers didn't have long before the first train of the day rumbled through!

The principal filmmakers were director Ralph 'Bunny' Keene, one of the best documentary directors ever, and cinematographer David Watkin, an Oscar-winner and a true innovator.

I thought the Scots voice was that of the motorman getting out of bed at 03:45!
