And few more questions: How do you resolve potential tactical rerols during fight - each of you decides if you want or not and then roll or there is some order to it? Could you explain how brutal and bull charge on breacha works? Wording is confusing for me... Does he get brutal on crit only after charge? does he get brutal on all hitswhen he charges? What brutal on crit does - do you need crit do parry crit and can't parry with 2 successes or do yu need crit to parry anything?

14:24 I just started playing so when I saw how you could steal the relic from someone who found it, it makes it even more interesting :) I noticed or I didn't see it, but once the relic was revealed, couldn't you keep looking in the heaps to gain some VP ?

Seems strange that they went without datacards for these models when it feels like there is so much important things to reference in the heat of the game. (things that have almost never existed before now in GW systems, like... GA)

Hmm… I still feel like there are just too many tokens, makes the whole thing feel cluttered and a bit clunky, and still not really a fan of the conceal/engage order stuff, I would’ve preferred if everyone was just in “engage” by default and you just used an AP to put a model into “concealed” or something (or maybe even just as an ability for specific units), plus this would be a way to cut down on the previously mentioned “token clutter”. I do like the basic melee and shooting rules though

It'd be pretty easy to just say "anyone that doesn't have an engagement token is in conceal order" or vice versa, but I think the main point of the tokens is to show that a unit has already been activated for that turn. I plan on printing some dice with the symbols on them...way better than flat tokens that are near impossible for me to pick up haha.

Tokens and all, it still looks better than the unit blobs of regular 40k. But, I mean. I am getting my tokens done in colored acrylic anyway. And the plan is to make them in my color scheme which will blend in better with most terrain than screaming orange. I suspect there will be a lot of 3rd party token manufacturers out there, and probably already are some with tokens that will work.

I think that the easiest solution would be to print out data cards and place all tokens on a unit's card instead of near the unit's base. As long as each player can easily see their opponent's data cards, then it should speed up gameplay and clean up the battlefield a bit.

If you read the rulebook screenshots, it explicitly says, "If they parry, one of their opponent's successful hits is discarded." Crits can discard crits, but two normals cannot, unlike in shooting.

@@jomblr I don't think that's what happened. I think on that attack he could only parry using crits, so that 6 was use to parry the normal hit.

Awesome t to see gamplays so early! Looks great. But I have rules question - shouldn't you be rounding up vertical climb distances to full circle - so even 3 inch climb costs 2 circles (4 inches)?

How does breaking up to 1 inch correspond with climbing rules (p. 74)? [I don’t have rules, only what I can gather from youtube, hence questions :) ]

I don't understand why when the Ork got a crit and decided to use it to hit the guard you used a crit to parry it but when you hit the orks and used a crit to hit he just died even though he had a crit. So can you parry out of sequence or not? I haven't read the rules so I might just be missing the point completely just seemed confusing in one situation for it to be parried and in another auto killed

The dice are resolved in order starting with the attacker. You can either deal damage, or discard a remaining enemy die (parry). So the attacker can resolve 1 hit before the defender can parry OR parry 1 of the defenders dice before they can hit. If that first hit would kill the enemy then combat immediately stops and dice are discarded.

Could be me but Kreig feels pretty underpowered compared to the orks. Seems to me the more health a unit has/its ability to throw more dice at a problem are the defining factors of whether or not it's decent. Looking forward to the upcoming games to see if that remains the case

I can't tell if they're actually underpowered or if they just need to be played more carefully to get the synergies to be effective. But it definitely seems to be the case that if you just run the two sides at each other, Kommandos win every time.

@@mattbrown5234 Yeah there seem to be a lot of front loaded "WTF" thoughts going on with the game atm, especially rulebook layout, and LoS rules. It'll need extensive playtesting to flesh things out.

This is why I like em. With very technical play, you can really outmaneuver the opponent, coupled with accurate shooting and tactical strikes. I am curious how the 14 Krieg kill team will do, forgoing the tactical strikes.

Yeah I feel that if you have initiative and can dice spam them you're quite likely to do well? Will be very interesting to see how other teams do compared to these two

@@GuerrillaMiniatureGames i don't think so, I believe it was during the firefight phase. From what I gathered, it says an operative can't make a charge move if it moved or dashed in that same activation. I could be wrong though, but that's what I saw on another video.

Hi, just a small question, at 21:45, you scored a critical hit with Sniper and said "it gonna be 3 Mortal wounds". I don´t know the profile of the Sniper Rifle there, but given the revealed Ranger Long Rifle for Aeldari Ranger, it has a profile 3/3 with MW1. So that means, critical hit does 3 damage + mortal wound right? Shouldn´t Sniper Rifle for Krieg boys do similar stuff?

MW Crit triggers are on every one rolled, so if you roll 3 Crits for it and it’s MW 1 you do 3 Mortal Wounds.

Maybe I missing something, but the total count of wounds should be higher, or not? If I will take the profile of the Ranger Long Rifle (because I do not know the profile of Sniper Rifle for the Guardsmen)... that would be 3 + 3 wounds + 1 MW.

Due to rulebook, to use Ancillary support (airstrike and etc) you should have 4 trooper veterans without specials, you have only 2. So you can't use this type of shoot actions?

No, you can TAKE 4 extra basic veterans as a support choice, or take 2 Tactical Assets. There’s no requirement to get them. So more bodies or cool Guns.

Burn the Kriger Hun boyz! EDIT: I love the simulatnious melee wich means you can kill the oppnent with a crit/damge ona weak enemy. i wish shooting worked the same way (much more realistic thanI shoot you don't even try to shot back).

The melee feels a little less tactical than what I first understood from the article. At first I thought that you firstly decided the dices then resolved the damage, It looks to favour a bit to much suicide charging. Maybe once I start playing it will makes sense

The attacker does get the first hit in. With high damage weapons it does make it pretty Murdery. But some folks just won’t care if you hit them first and they’ll just parry your second hit and dumpster you after that.

@@lo95cdex We will be able to do things like charge in just to tie a unit up and go for all parries, you could block narrow gaps and what not like that. You also now get a flanking bonus (+1 to hit for each friendly model in the same fight) which is cool

Great game, just not the same as old one. I think its better tho. I strongly prefer alternating activation for skirmish games. Nice thing is you can still play old Kill Team and this new one as well. So you get 2 games for price of 1.

4 dudes with lasguns or a bombing run that just throws 6 dice on the whole enemy line doin way more than those 4 guys even could. The trade off is bodies but because of how overwatch works having a massive 14 man list can be a negative. Personally I’m thinking the bombing runs are better.
