@@justinthyme3396 Oh yes, '72! Hope they were better in Perth. It was either the worst of times or the best of times at Kooyong. It was a cool blustery summer's day, with a storm brewing, yet the crowd was the opposite. I was very young, it was among my first big concerts, the band was in a foul mood though, and were very concerned about rain. Plant berated the crowd's behaviour more thsn once, over half of 'em had broken in along the flimsy fenceline! If it wasn't the worst gig they ever played, it was close. They then went on to play scorchers in other places, Sydney was one. But apparently Brissy was the best, an inside venue. You must have been the oldest in the audience, most were teens. I have a buddy who saw the Beatles and both Stones tours of the sixties, but he's only 75! Justin Thyme, indeed! There is a grand EIGHT SECONDS of footage of Bonzo's setup at Kooyong taken by a roadie pre-concert. Great venue, Elton John played there, as did Sabbath (to about 1500!) and famously the Stones before concerts were banned by the rich folks of Kooyong.

Born in 1950. Heard loads of stuff my parents played like Glenn Miller, Guy Mitchel. Rosemary clooney, Jim reeves. Then the sixties with Cliff, The Beatles. The stones, The animals. Tremeloes and a ton of other great stuff. The seventies were unforgettable with Queen. Roxy music and Elo. Then to my mind it all went pear shaped.. .electronic synthetic noise. They will play some music forever. Much later stuff forgotten already.

As an 80's baby, I'm happy that my parents helped me grow up with the songs of their youth. These songs played a great part in growing my musical tastes as I aged. Calling all these songs oldies now seems like a disservice to what the songs actually meant and the feeling you get while listening to them. I keep falling over when I hear a young punk or girl knows Elvis or The Beatles. Still, I know Ray Eberle from Bob Eberly (Glenn Miller/Jimmy Dorsey). I know who Mr Five by Five was (Jimmy Rushing) - that sort of thing. I "wasn't born then" either (I'm not 100 years old). It's the love of music that counts. I'm sure in 2100 young people will still be listening to jazz or swing or 60s and 70s pop music. Like they'll still be using pens to write on paper on. "Hey, that's funny. I can draw letters on this material and it's like typing. Oops! I can't delete what I wrote.")

Now there's an idea! The Monkees' "I'm Not Your Stepping Stone" and like that (the flip side to "I'm a Believer"). The Stones' "Under Assistant West Coast Promotion Man"" (Satisfaction). The Yardbirds' "Evil Hearted You" (Still I'm Sad). I have lots of these single records and (vaguely) remember others. But it would be too hard, even for us veterans of the 1960s. How about lesser known hits like The Count Five's Psychotic Reaction or Roy Head's Treat Her Right or Keith's 98.6? There's ample material for more quizzes like this! What song starts with the singer yelling, Oh, yeah! The song "Oh Yeah", of course. But who performed it? The Guess Who? The Swinging Blue Jeans? The Shadows of Knight? Who sang "Georgia Girl"? Dusty Springfield? Joni Mitchell? The Seekers? Quizmasters, KZbin is all yours! (Answers 3 and 3).
