In this video an exclusive selection of famous synth youtubers and renowned electronic musicians will try to guess the Bad Gear .
Instruments that had appeared on the show about the world's most hated audio tools are played by the host but the participants will not be able to see them (they are blurred out ) and have to guess the Bad Gear only by hearing the synthesizer , drum machine or groovebox in this guessing game and blind test .

@@nshapkar I second this. I own the Grandmother but feel it's a pretty one-trick-pony. It can nail that classic Moog Rubber Bass and a little bit of the Rogue fatness, but overall it's "meh" and the Spring Reverb is insanely overpowered. Turn the dial past the first notch and you just get a screeching noise.

I can see Guess the Bad Gear becoming a big hit series for Pilz, gratz! The DrumBrute sounded like a Machinedrum, but nicer. Guess we all need to be DrumBruted then. Oh, and before you enveiled the TR-626, my first thought was TR-707, like the others, then my second was 'that's the drum machine in the classic great House track by Joe Smooth: Promised Land.' But was it, seems the internet thinks that was a TR-707 too. Oh, but same samples, so that makes sense.

I recently got a Casio PSS-130 for 5$ at a goodwill, and I gotta say for having only two note polyphony and the crunchiest samples ever, the sounds it puts out are honestly pretty gorgeous at times. Though that could just be my memories of 8/16/32 bit game soundtracks polluting my opinion.

Being a Roland-head, I knew this wasn't a Roland- but never could've guessed what exactly it was. It does sound very late 90s/early 00 years in terms of sound, but then some "new" gear still sounds like that (Korg Electribes were a good guess).

I always feel that you show the optimistic side of the Bad Gear you feature and this "blindfolded" test removed the stigma of each instrument so we all could REALLY listen to them!
