Actually, the thing is that Moxley has used like 6 moves as finishers during his AEW run. The bulldog choke is one of them, it's not a signature. The Death Rider is supposed to be an elevated/spiked version of the Paradigm Shift, but he often does it sloppily and it's more of a butterfly suplex! 😂

Technically 619 is a signature. It rarely ends a match on its own. It's followed up by West Coast Pop or Frog Splash etc. which would make those the finishers.

Mox's Bulldog Choke is one of the most protected finishers in AEW. I don't even remember the last time someone got out of it (except when there was an outside interference). It is like Mox's last resort after his opponent refuses to stay down. He usually uses it right after someone kick out of the Paradigm Shift.

Death Rider is the Paradigm Shift in New Japan, but as of recently they just changed the distinction. Death Rider is now the elevated double arm brainbuster while the Paradigm Shift is the regular double arm ddt (or Dirty Deeds). The bulldog choke is his other finisher. He’s been using it for three years now, with the first time he’s used it being on Sammy Guevara at Bash At The Beach in 2020. As for the gotch pileriver, that’s more of a signature he picked up after his rivalry with Minoru Suzuki. Like how he’s picked up the cutter after his return from rehab.

In practice anyway, Mox really only has three "Finishers" nowadays, that being the Paradigm Shift (Dirty Deeds), Death Rider (An elevated/spike version of Dirty Deeds), and the Bulldog Choke as a submission finish. What made this quiz really hard though is the fact that finishers aren't really a thing anymore in modern day wrestling, wrestlers just have their list of signature moves and when the time comes to win the match, they pick from the list.

This one was actually pretty challenging, mostly because I don't keep up with AEW as much. But one thing I will say is that despite what you thought, every one of these is or was a main finisher at least at some point. No signatures were on the quiz unless they were upgraded to or downgraded from finisher status. - West Coast Pop was Mysterio's original finisher when he came to WWE. It was pretty much when he did the 619 and followed it with the springboard hurricanrana pin. - I was thinking there were a lot of answers for Cross Armbreaker because it's just a jujigatame/armbar and several wrestlers use/used it (Ronda, Asuka sometimes), but I guess Del Rio was the only one who used it where it was officially referred to by that name. - Mickey James was extremely close since she aped her finisher from Trish and called it the Mick Kick.

The difference is, now wrestlers have multiple finishers. Mox uses the bulldog choke usually after kickout from paradigm shift. Gone are the days of finishers actually finishing matches

Except that's not true, at all. The only time a finisher doesn't end a match is when they want to protect everyone involved. There are plenty of times where the promotion is building a talent and there's no kick out. Jaded. The Bulldog Choke. Salt of the Earth. Some finishers are very protected. Hell, I genuinely don't remember the last time someone kicked out of the Curb Stomp. I mean, they're rare, for sure. But it's not 100% of the time where finishers aren't effective. I'd say finishers are actually effective every time they win a match, regardless if the person did 4 or 1.

So in AEW Moxley uses the Paradigm Shift and the Bulldog choke as his finishing moves. (Regular and submission) The Paradigm Shift is similar to the Death Rider but he uses that in NJPW. Both are different from Dirty Deeds because they are elevated; he didn't elevate the move in WWE. I admit I have never heard of a few of the finishers mentioned. I only finished with 5. I did know Awful Waffle though from Taylor's ROH days.
