For apogeotropic, how do you know which procedure to do? Or how do you know it is more on the utricular side or canal side? I ask because if it is on the canal side, would it have been considered canalothiasis?

Fantastic video so informative! I have managed to figure out that the loose crystals are in my left horizontal canal. The only thing is I'm not sure which maneuver to use to fix it with. I can turn my head left, right, look up and doesn't cause any issues only when I look down and bend forward I do have vertigo. Could you please advise which Gufoni maneuver to use/try I don't have access to a clinic. Thank you so much in advance.

Excellent video! Really enjoying your channel :) Just wondering what the main difference is between the gufoni and BBQ maneuver's? Both seem to treat the lateral canal... Does one have stronger evidence for success over the other?
@lauraworley52494 жыл бұрын
BBQ is typically used to treat horizontal canal canalithiasis, while Gufoni is effective for cupulolithiasis!

We are located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. It’s important that your healthcare professional examines the origin of your vertigo and whether it’s actual BPPV. There are several maneuvers for the different inner ear canals.

Better to consult a local physio specialized in dizziness to assess your nystagmus

@@ItsOkaySandy what meds? Your going to need to learn to test for it and try the maneuvers. However if I were you, I would get with an ENT, or vestibular doctor and get that ball rolling. Look into the brandt dardoff exercise, i do each position for 1 full minute though........but you can try that exercise for 10 minutes a few times a week.........it can be precautionary, snd or let you know you got a little somethin goin on, and if so, get your ass to a doctor that deals with it, before you have a bad spell

@@ItsOkaySandy yeah but lying in bed for days does nothing for it……..I did that too, as shitty as it is, you have to do the maneuvers to get the crystals moving. Or else your just lying there, and they are too, giving you the finger. They may dissolve or something over time. You don’t have time for that. Take something legit for nausea then wait an hour, the do the dix halpike test on the left, then repeat on the right. Decide which side made you spin. Then research what maneuver you need to try. You will only spin for about 45 seconds then it slowly stops. Do not just lay around for days. Get proactive……and also get with a vestibular doctor knowledgeable in BPPV……it’s super common now. Call your doctors and or other ppls, and demand to know who specializes in BPPV in your area. I’m doing that again now too.
