I demand you guys TRY McCormick baking bags. Jack is giving them a bad name Get a 4 pack of chicken thighs, or quarter a whole bird. normal sized ones not the steroid birds. Season both sides... and under the skin. Spray the bag with olive oil, center the thighs, 375 for 60 mins. Open the bag, broil 2 minutes to crisp, moist and tender... if its a roast I sear first out on the Grill then bag and bake till tender.

Nor does it carry any sort of bacteria that would be destroyed by heating above 160 degrees. Beef and fish are safe to eat raw, chicken and pork are very not safe raw (salmonella and trichinosis respectively)

Guy born and raised in Mississippi here, Alligator Snapping turtle was the only turtle we used for soup, or anything else. But it was when we accidently caught them on the trotline, I don't know of a time when we actively went and hunted the turtle. That's mainly due to the size of an alligator snapping turtle you would catch on a trotline. Very large, shell is over 2 feet across, they weigh over 100lbs.

That’s horrid. I cannot imagine giving myself salmonella. I know not to mess around with chicken and pork or any ground meat. I often use a meat thermometer even if I know something should be done. Very helpful for cooking steak for others who don’t like it the way you do too.

Regular "Cooking" With Jack viewer here. That video is 10 years old. His health is unfortunately frail at the moment, but he's still uploading regularly. But I'm happy to say he used a meat themometer to cook his Thanksgiving Turkey. And it looked cooked. So props to Jack for that. However, Jack is still Jack. He made a Queso Chicken Roll as recent as 2 weeks ago and used VANILLA flavored greek yogurt for his sauce instead of plain and told his viewers not to make because it tasted like (and i quote) "dog vomit". Best that you guys stick to reacting to his older videos. They truly are entertaining.

Even if he did preheat his oven, the Bag 'n Season instructs for the chicken to be baked for an hour and he only did 40 minutes. That 20 minutes makes a huge difference.

6:07 baking bags do not melt, they're rated to 500 degrees safe use 375 for an hour, maybe ninety minutes and that chicken would have been moist, golden brown and tender. I use them all the time for roasts and chicken, whenever im not wrapping meat in Banana leaves I use baking bags.

10:01 Digital ovens are usually pretty accurate. Older ovens with a dial, the dial can be calibrated to be more accurate when setting the temp. If you pull the dial off, there should be a screw on the back to set the temp. Obviously, you should always use an oven thermometer for more accuracy.

I only took Culinary in high school, but I feel like anyone with common sense in the kitchen knows that bloody chicken is a no no. That being said everytime I see someone react to this video of jack's all I can think of is the MY EYES! meme from spongebob.

To be fair, if memory serves me correct, Brian did tell Guga previously that he had a Jack chicken video he needed to watch 😂😂 the Chef never forgets haha

Even if he did preheat his oven, the Bag 'n Season instructs for the chicken to be baked for an hour and he only did 40 minutes. That 20 minutes makes a huge difference.

Bag cooking has been around since I wanna say the 70's and really was a thing in the 80s. And no you do not get plastic particles in the food using the bag and the chicken does come out pretty nice IF done correctly. Also the directions, at least on their website, says nothing about cutting the bag open to brown the chicken. But it does say to cook in lower half of oven, at 350 degrees F for an hour

You do get chemical migration from the bags into your food. However when used correctly (proper temperature, not more than recommended time), the amount is minimal & is safe enough. That said, oily food can encourage the movement of fat soluble chemicals so you need to be extra careful.

You definitively get some bad residues , but hardly enough to become sick . Unless you maybe eat that every day , or even then occasionally screw up the temp

Jack literally put his hand to his face after eating that raw chicken like I do when I miss a shot of vodka. It was a bullet to the lung. And he COULDN'T TAKE IT!
