I demand you guys TRY McCormick baking bags. Jack is giving them a bad name Get a 4 pack of chicken thighs, or quarter a whole bird. normal sized ones not the steroid birds. Season both sides... and under the skin. Spray the bag with olive oil, center the thighs, 375 for 60 mins. Open the bag, broil 2 minutes to crisp, moist and tender... if its a roast I sear first out on the Grill then bag and bake till tender.

Regular "Cooking" With Jack viewer here. That video is 10 years old. His health is unfortunately frail at the moment, but he's still uploading regularly. But I'm happy to say he used a meat themometer to cook his Thanksgiving Turkey. And it looked cooked. So props to Jack for that. However, Jack is still Jack. He made a Queso Chicken Roll as recent as 2 weeks ago and used VANILLA flavored greek yogurt for his sauce instead of plain and told his viewers not to make because it tasted like (and i quote) "dog vomit". Best that you guys stick to reacting to his older videos. They truly are entertaining.

If Jack goes through life like he does through his cooking videos, i would not be surprised if he ever published material with him considering himself the perfect example of perfect health since he has defeated a bunch of health issues. I’m not one to make light of a person’s health problems, but Jack’s foolish confidence is so extreme that I don’t know if it’s parody or real.

Let's not pretend that Jack has improved over the years just because he used a thermometer. He hasn't changed a bit and has actually got worse. The only thing that has expanded is his insufferable ego. His recipes lately have been disgusting - ice cream bread and crustless pizza come to mind. Jack needs to just stop before someone actually follows his horrid advice and ends up sick or worse.

Finally! Nice to see someone who kones what they’re talking about doing the reactions… So many people out there just shaming for the shaming with personal attacks. Most of the time they clearly does’nt know what they’re talking about them selves.

I confess to having used the McCormick Bag ‘N Season years ago, talking the 80’s when I was newly married and not the more adventurous cook I later became. But I’m also not adverse to using some short cuts sometimes. For instance, I like and have made the Cambell’s Tavern Style Pot Roast for making a pot roast in a slow cooker overnight and use the Carol Shelby Chili seasoning mix as a base for my 3-bean coco turkey chili but to that I also add a lot of other ingredients. The McCormick Bag ‘N Season seasoning package has a lot of paprika and turmeric and garlic, onion powder, a WHOLE LOT of salt (A LOT) and a lot of those chemical sounding mystery ingredients. The bag only made cleanup a bit easier but covering it with foil to start and removing the foil to get some browning nearer the end would do the same thing as far as retaining moisture. Yea and soaking the baking pan in hot water and Dawn overnight isn’t really that hard as far as cleanup. But as I remember it was tasty, my ex-husband liked it and mine never came out raw or sushi grade. But I looked it up and my memory was correct. The recipe on the package calls for 2 1/2 pounds chicken parts (I would buy a whole cut up chicken or a whole chicken I cut up myself). Even the picture on the front of the seasoning envelope shows separate chicken pieces not chicken halves or quarters! The pieces are too big! It also calls for a pre-heated oven to 350 and a baking time in the lower half of oven of 1 hour. ONE HOUR! If Jack put whole chicken halves or even quarters into a cold oven and only baked for a total of 40 minutes, it’s no wonder it was still raw inside. www.mccormick.com/recipes/main-dishes/bag-n-season-chicken But watching this inspired me to make a baked chicken later this week using fresh herbs, a blend of ground spices like smoked paprika that I mix up myself with the chicken seasoned on all sides, fresh garlic, olive oil, lemons, maybe capers(?), veggies (I’m in the mood this time of year to add some leeks to the veggie mix and use tri colored baby potatoes) and I guarantee mine will be moist with a nice crispy golden color on top and not raw inside or sushi grade. :)

Seeing how little seasoning got added to those massive pieces of chicken, I instantly had a flashback to Emeril. "I hate one-sided tasting food" 😂 I've gotten chicken at a restaurant like this before, let's just say we never went back.
