"now many artists don't have skills, they just have a concept" this is very interesting as my experience thus far has been meeting artists who have skills but do not have a concept

I like how she's able to come up with an idea for what to do with a picture of feet. It actually sounded kinda cool, getting to walk on the feet, would actually be fun! Sure it would have to be executed right but there's an idea there.

Kai, This video is by far your most brilliant work! Should do more like this. I watched this one three times and I think you can expand on this.

The funniest part--- His photos are actually pretty good and ironically more artistic than many modern so-called fine art photographs. The sad part, he killed the roach. He should be more careful.

OMG! I can totally relate to the framing catastrophe. I just want to cry when I think about framing. Too bad you didn't have a mental fit at the show when your work fell out of the frame. Now, that would be an artist thing to do. Love your view of art. It's in the eye of the beholder. Or it's in the eye of the blind beholder. That woman artist was a good sport. I love how you almost lose it and laugh throughout the video. I think your video is the art.

I do art photography and this video is very interesting. Every picture i present as art has a concept and message. Now that doesn't mean you can go take a photo of a stairwell and consider it art. Being able to have a concept and meaning makes you a good artist but being able to master the medium, in this case, photography, makes you a good photographer. Art photography is the combination of these two.

The word "chinese" is an English word and is defined by English usage. Let's check the dictionary: Chinese 1. the standard language of China, based on the speech of Beijing; Mandarin. 2. a group of languages of the Sino-Tibetan family, including standard Chinese and most of the other languages of China So "Chinese" should only refer to Mandarin. But can be applied to Cantonese if you're talking about its language group, similar to how Spanish can be called Latin.

Contemporary art belongs to photographers - such as Jeff Wall. I love the work of Cartier-Bresson however HBC no longer represents contemporary art. The problem with this video is that it mocks those striving to make art - in a comedic way. Having said that, I still like these videos - they stimulate thought and discussion.

I think art is a combination of how good one is at it or skill, the time and effort it took to produce the art, (Not one day) and impeccable finishing to the pieces ie: Better framing, titles, have someone else make the canape's, get some actual matts cut. Oh yeah, and price it high like you deserve it. It looked like you were trying to puposefully half-ass it to make a point...or maybe that was the point; don't half-ass it. At least you had champagne. :)
