I main both Akali and Shen. Bully her hard level 1, keep wave frozen like you did very well (preferably to receive ganks from hard cc junglers), then buy Kaenic Rookern and Sterak's/Malmortius. I've also just straight up rushed Anathema's Chains first item against her, which is very good at neutralizing her burst even if the match circumstances would normally make it suboptimal. And try to hold E and W for when she lands her E on you - sometimes if you time Shadow Dash right, you can negate her E2 damage by dashing into her as she dashes back onto you! I also wouldn't hate a series where you try to learn Akali. Her skill ceiling is very high and her playstyle is about 400% faster than Shen's, but I think you would gain significant insight.

have you considered speed boots in these scenarios where tabi and merc arent necessary? some players are seeing some use for them and ive noticed you often go for chases but fall short on movespeed, i think speed boots could open new possibilities in the right situation. also what is your opinion on going exaust instead of ignite in these matchups where you have to avoid fighting an enemy like the aatrox game?

"Wait, guy with lethality hurts against 0 armor????" If you don't buy at least a chain vest or something, you're just going to get your ass rammed in trades or fights. Health doesn't help because lethality gets more value the lower your armor is. You might lose your kill pressure if you delay your build by 800 gold, but they get way more harrass and kill pressure than you do if you don't have any armor.

I have to admit, This Akali was a great player. Knew his kit and his damage exactly, didn't miss almost a single cs that he was able to get, and executed the ulti escape almost every time. If you hadn't played as good as you can in crucial situations she would have killed you. And she punished your e miss every time. I would shit myself playing against her as a dia2 player.

I feel like ingenious and attack speed then standard page, titanic into hallow no matter the match up feels the best. It seems like most match ups you want to play safe, and titanic hallow allows you to just gain more gold quickly and safely since you can shove wave quickly before getting poked out of too much hp. Plus, with more efficient farming you can get the frozen gaunt and unend sooner which makes you extremely strong. unending could be swapped for steraks/rook for more ap heavy match ups. Going eclipse just seems like such a waste of resources since a lot of it is wasted on AD which is just a waste on shen. bamis tunneler into titanic then hallow, feels really strong. Like notice at 47:45, it takes so long to clear that wave, with this build its not a problem and you can more effectively put pressure on the map.

Hey Petu, really great video! If there were something to say it's that maybe your struggle against aatrox is due to the fact that he nevers Q3 which reduce the cd of the q, so instead of having 3 q's in 1 fight, he's got 5! The only way I see to win trades IS to bait the 3rd q then dodge it and then you're suppose to win the trade, in my opinion of course.😅

If give mr and keeps bami usefull, also give very good waveclear in compariosn to bami/sunfire Aatrox matchup in season 14 feels just impossible to win, no matter what build he got, lethailty or sundered sky you can short trade vs him cuz he wins. Either because of dmg or sustain. Its new permaban for me this season

Aatrox is just unplayable as Shen. It doesn't matter how good you are, he has more damage. You get hit by one Q, that 500 damage, even if you dodged everything else. Shen just can't output that much to contest. Permaban. No Darius, or Sett are as frustrating as that champion. Sorry Aatrox, I like you, but I like not having to see you again more.

I'm actually playing tp ignite for a couple of days and it feels really good But i don't like the eclipse... Feels like its completely useless, if you have titanic you will deal more damage and have better wave clear, and about the shield, having more hp will give you bigger passive shields and just more hp. Also, bami's and titanic synergises really well with each other

I think the bami into eclipse is the throw choice against akali. level 1 to 5 you easily win on shen, she needs to play def. As both a shen and akali player I think as shen you should build titanic, do not hide behind your minions since long range shuriken is very avoidable so make her choose to use her Q's on wave OR you, not both at once. Titanic into negatron and she should never be able to trash you 100 to 0 unless she gets fed, even when her Q gets cheaper with later ranks, and just hit her with ranged titanic proccs, taunt only when she wants some and you can almost gurantee it lands because you will still kick her ass if it does, before level 7 she shouldn't stand a chance really unless you get hit by comepletely everything.

Petu, you can actually easily beat Mordekaiser with Shen by rushing BoTRK. Morde R heals and adds him more HP which makes BoTRK even stronger against him.

You mentioned it once while playing jungle shen, but something I've been noticing that you don't point out is that you can fight with "old" q stacks and then refresh them with Q to get 5-6 empowered auto attacks in a single trade

Against Aatrox I would go Chain vest, Cinder and Bramble in that order. Anytime he ults just back off. You will not win unless you're massively ahead.

Petu you should try Triple Tonic instead of bisquits! Everything it gives is just nice. The first potion is nice for cs'ing under tower but if you don't need it it's always gold. The second can be strong for an all in and the third can give a lvl in e wich is not bad for exstra dmg and lower cd

Ignite has a lower cooldown than tp and flash, you need to use it more often IMO... Against aatrox you waited until the 9 minute mark to use it for the first time.. You could have used it 3 times by then ... An item to rush against him is bramble vest

Flash is usless summoner spell for champs with dashes. You just waisting a slot instead taking something usfull. Train yourself to play without flash and you will be much carefull.

Suggestion: Hail of Blades. Taunt+Q pull and two auto, then back away for best trade option. If you stay in her shroud, your empowered Q and HOB is fast enough to hit during her short reveal time. Allowing you the potential to come out on top during trades.

Pro tip: if you accidentally swap your summs you can just change the bindings. (this might also just confuse though since they appear in the same place) Also: even if you're ahead, you're probably not beating Aatrox in his R. It's combat R vs utility R you always lose unless you're giga fed

I only don't use it when I feel like I will need taunt flash to reach backline. Even then if feels bad having to play around 5 min flash cd.
