yeah, literally why nobody in his right mind plays this game anymore. The only reason to keep this mental is to make these videos, otherwise this game is a waste of your time (and trust me when I say it, I played this game since season 3), you can climb at the tops and you will still get trashed around by a random silver player, luck I guess ;).

@@D4no00 can always just, not play ranked and do more casual, I assume the constant want to climb can get pretty exhausting. Either way, if you've played it long enough, wins/losses shouldn't matter to you that much anymore, no?

@@FloofersFX about not mattering, it was true while I was playing with teammates, 3-5 people squads. If you play solo, these kind of games are just not fun, simply because I know my skill level and I don't like coin toss chances to win games, I've played previously with great people (we used to squad with one of our buddies that was top 10 challenger players in season 4 and everybody could pull their weight more or less). When your game is decided right after the pick, then it is absolutely not fun, you just can't imagine how many games I have to play versus smurfs like petu, and how many times I've crushed them 1v1, just later to lose to them being fed from another lane that has no idea how to play (this is literally more than 50% of his gameplay where he gets crushed and then somehow tries a comeback). I personally hate the league attitude on leaving and penalties, locking you with 9 other random people in a 30 minute game is idiotic, and the moment it will stop, this game will change forever (maybe they will realize after 10 more years). As for ranked and normals, playing normals is just not fun, people are trolling there every single game, even a more of a problem is premades of parties 3-5. In normals there is no rank limit so you can literally get destroyed by a party of 5 people practicing for their flex ranked game (happened a lot of times for me).

@@D4no00 maybe you should watch Petu more and stop blaming everyone around you on you not having fun anymore, or maybe it is healthier for you to just stop playing with that attitude. The whole "trolling" thing I see used by folks a lot is hella overused, usually against anyone that doesn't play the strict meta set by the most popular builds instead of actually experimenting and having some fun. I do agree that the best games are with good frens playing together tho. I just don't really care that much about just winning anymore. It's nice if it happens, but I'd rather lose with good, calm teammates, than win with players who often seek every possible excuse (but themselves ofc) and reason of why the game was bad to them. I also try to calm others down, cause all in all, it's not the end of the world if you lose or have a not so great game. Too many folks just wanna completely dominate or else they want to instantly surrender, where's the fun in that? Also 30 minutes is long for you and you've played since season 3? What lol.. 30min is pretty mid. I like that they're trying to prolong the pace a bit more again.

That last game was amazing 😅 @xPetu I watched your old videos, the "Shen School" videos, and I really liked them. I wish you'd continued with a similar format, particularly moving into things like itemization (what's your "algorithm" when choosing items for a game?), matchups in a generic way (1v1, but also what kind of teams is Shen good into? or bad?). A lot of it can be drawn from the great deal of insight you communicate in your videos, and I have a much better idea of how to play Shen than I did before, but a bit of a distillation would be amazing. like petu said during the dive, patience. a lot of players know how to get a lead, but not how to keep it. their play was just too greedy and beyond their limits. recognising such moments is the first step to preventing them, so always analyze what's going on and what you should do to get closer to your win con.

Petu you have to try Hail of Blades against things like Volibear or Warwick that heal off of long fights. It allows you to do 3 fast empowered Q without actually having to hit Q. which allows you to use E for escape instead of engage and makes for easy trades.

I think that game against the Nocturne and Jinx would have legit been better with Mercs over Steelplates. One of those occasions where the auto attack reduction is completely overvalued and you'd probably have won a few more situations there without the need for Steraks

Petu, ever did the math how much damage steel caps reduce? I feel like tenacity is a must if they have such strong cc's like in this first game. Every fight you miss out on key abilities and auto attacks because you were crowd controlled and I'm wondering is it "definitely" a steel caps game, even though they have so many auto attackers? Tenacity in other items is so expensive for shen.

About the Nocturne ult, the moment he ults, could you just watch the health bars above your minimap to see who's health starts dropping first and then ult them just by hovering your cursor on the target that's taking damage?

Yesterday I got a bit in my game that went 2/66. It kept running down mid and my gas ended with 33 kills. Even then the game went for 38 minutes, we got soul, and I ended like 19/4 (I forgot but it was something like that) plus we got every baron. After that I realized most games are indeed winnable 😭 (we lost but it was so damn close and we had that monster making bot)

Shen prioritizes health over most other stats. Tunneler provides a good balance of stats while tiamat is pure AD, giving him no scaling in any of his abilities. His waveclear is indeed weak but that isn't the only thing to worry about during early laning.
