Since I generally start with d4, I've recently been experimenting with setups other than the London, starting with whether I follow up with Bf4, e4, c4 or Nc3. Thanks for the lesson

No offense, but I think london is the most disgusting opening. It's not that bad but london is so boring, and there isn't much fun for me playing against it or playing with it. Of course, this is my opinion and I do not begrudge you to it. Happy to hear you don't play london anymore

Hey Nelson! :) Two things: 1. A video about the Campomanes attack, everything about it for black 2. A video about why stockfish or the analysis graph is showing green in my game. Both of these have been emailed to you

24:50 I think you were supposed to take on e7, and on the next move you either win the knight on d7 for free or the rook on f8 for a bishop. If you take on d7 first, the bishop on h4 is hanging and you end up down a piece.

This video is great; all the necessary information from Naroditsky's video but more straightforward and concise. I'm guessing the video didn't get many views because of the opening choice - despite the fanfare, there have been professionals and other streamers who haven't spoken highly of the Queen's Gambit. Hope to see more of this series.

Been watching a lot of your videos over the past month and i’ve learned so much from you I was hard stuck 400-450 for the longest that i ended up taking a 3 month break and since coming back and watching your videos i’ve slowly crept up to 650 and im consistently beating players 100-150 elo higher than me, i have a bit of confidence that i’ll actually be able to reach 1000 one day thanks to you 🙌🏽

I really liked this video, I'm glad I'm begining to learn some foundational d4 theory. I like how you repeated the lines from the begining multiple times, and explained many of the moves ideas. At a couple moments you zoomed through the moves a little too quick, and I had to rewind a few times. But overall, I like that you started with a strong mainline, and then showed a couple of it's sidelines, but they all shared some similar middlegame themes.

I have a challenge for you to beat martin or other bots with this: Side chess- Easy: Every piece of yours in the kingside can only stay in the kingside and same goes for all queen side pieces Normal: 1/4th of the pieces on 1/4th of the board can only stay in the 1/4th area and same goes for 2/4th, 3/4th, 4/4th of the pieces on the board. Hard: Same thing as 1/4th except it is 1/8th now.

should you always trade a bishop for a rook? I know the rook is worth more but it doesn't seem like it would be automatic like this demo was advocating
@iang0th
@iang0th Жыл бұрын
You would need a specific reason for that to be a good trade. It's rare enough that trading a rook for a knight or bishop is called an "exchange sacrifice."

Do this challenge to beat martin or other bots: Paralysed chess: The board is divided in 4 parts. Each of your pieces that are in the first part has to move for the first move. On the second move the second part of the board can move only. Same goes for third and fourth part. The pieces of the part you have to move can jump from the first part to the other parts if needed. If say your queen is attacked on the third part but you are currently on the second part you are not allowed to move your queen to safety. The first part can be the a and b file, second is the c and d, third is e and f and fourth is g and h. Good luck!
