God, I love Robert Newman. This was back when GL was a true force to be reckoned with. In fact, this was one of only 3 weeks during which GL bested GH in the Nielsens and became the #1 soap on the air. I know many more people watched GH in the '80s, but if you ask me, the real action was going on in Springfield!

My mom got me into GL right around the beginning of the Beth & Lujack story arc. I would race home from elementary school to watch it. Fond memories….

Wow--this is like watching them when they were originally aired--they're PERFECT! Thank you so much for sharing these!!! I was a kid when these were on, so I had to sneak in to watch these when my mother wasn't looking. (Or, I was allowed to watch the last 20 minutes or so after school--I guess my mother thought they wouldn't "rot my mind" in so little time. She was wrong!! LOL...these made me have certain standards in the boyfriends I had. Sadly, most of my boyfriends were duds--NONE of them were like Philip or LuJack!!) ;)

I liked the characters individually but they had no chemistry as a couple. Anyway, the writers lost interest in a lot of characters including the Riordans when they started to focus so much on the Lewises and Reva.
