Man, I couldn't think of anyone better to replace Beverlee McKinsey as Alexandra than Joan Collins as Alexandra. She can do the smart, sneering rich woman as well as anyone. Shame to let her go!

Joan quit after 3 months into her 6 month contract on account of she found the pace of daytime drama too grueling - this was her first daytime drama at age 79 - key characters on daytime drama could appear for 4 or even 5 hour long episodes weekly - 52 weeks in a year. On the primetime dramas it was just 1 hour episode weekly for maybe 30 weeks in a year.

Did you ever her Liz Kiefer's TV Daughter Naelee Rae (Clarissa) sing? She's amazing. She's going to be performing at The Apollo Theatre this month. Also, for some strange reason, I always wanted to see a "fantasy" sequence where Blake and Harley get together. They say, "Who needs Men". They have so much in Common. They were both married to Spaulding Brothers and their relationships with men were disastrous with the exception of course of Ross.
