Thank you so much, Rebecca! I appreciate all the info you share with us. I am very sensitive to synthetic, perfume based scents, too. I wish you all the best!

Thank you for your kind words! I think many of us are sensitive, as are our pets! They breathe the same air we do. :-)

Can Texas Sage be used in a garden bundle? We have some growing in our backyard.

Rebecca, can you explain to us what exactly is IN synthetic lavender oil? Is it not made from real lavender? Are we talking about one manufacturing step away from actual lavender oil? I really don’t know the answer to these questions. I’m concerned if synthetic lavender incense doesn’t contain lavender! Thanks!

Hi, Julie! I am no expert. But, synthetic oils are created in a laboratory in an effort to reproduce natural scents at a substantially lower cost than the natural version. All perfumes are synthetic. They contain no "natural" ingredients. You may have wondered why they do not use incense in aromatherapy; only "essential" oils are used. Most commonly used incense cones and sticks are made with synthetic ingredients only. The good news: some companies have begun to use essential oils in their incenses, but only at a dramatic cost increase (that you would notice). Please note that, while essential oils are extracted from plants, these incenses do not actually contain any plant material (such as lavender flower).
