Guild Surfliner Restring

Thanks for featuring this. These Surfliners are really underrated guitars. A lot of dudes seem to get hung up over the switches, but it really depends on your style. If you're playing solo jazz blues or something, you probably pick one position to get your sound and just camp out there for a while. Works great.

Dude, your videos have motivated me to break out my gear after many many years . I'm having something fun! Sprayed pots out guitars and Amp. Re strung and reset string hight. Man I sound soooo rusty but the gear sounds great. Keep the videos going!!!

Bin looking for a Telecaster for about a month and my budget is around $300 and anything decent it has been above that price. Schecter but they are about $700 and a FGN and they are just a little cheaper but still to much. I could go Squier and don't have a problem with Squiers, I have 2 Squier Strats and they are not bad, I did a few cheap mods on one and the other I kind of went crazy with pups and a lot of other upgrades. I would like one with 6 saddles and a Humbucker in neck but not a deal breaker. Then I saw a used Surfliner, I know they are more Jazzmaster or Jaguar to me. I have a killer made in USA 87 Guild that I have had for over 30 Years, I would consider it a super strat. Have not looked were the Surfliner is made, I am sure it's made in Asia but that's OK. This video could make my decision for me, perfect timing.

Recommend the Squier Affinity Telecaster, the maple neck is amazing. It does the job.

@@michaelbond6186 Hey Michael I appreciate the input on a Squier Affinity Telecaster. It was on my list with the SX and Harley Benton. I am a bass player that plays guitar so I am more particular about my basses. I have some 70's and 80's Fender P and J's and except for my 80's Guild I lean towards budget guitars. I have no problem with Squier, I have 2 Squier basses and 2 Squier strats. I pulled the trigger on the Harley Benton TE-62 and have had it for almost 2 weeks and playing it and going over it with a fine tooth comb and I am pretty shocked how good it is. I know a quality instrument and this guitar is one. Action was a little high when got it and lowered the saddles down to my liking. Tweaked the intonation a little bit and it is very playable. Got the surfgreen and would have spent the extra $10 for binding but did not come in green. Going to swap nut to Graph-Tech and string trees and give the frets a little bit more polishing even though it's not bad. No fret sprout what so ever, my Squier Strats had more. Maybe put a 6 saddle bridge but the intonation is good. I would recommend the Harley Benton if someone asked. Sorry for long comment but I am very surprised in fit and finish. Thanks again for your Input.
