Bitterfrost Frontier also has an ascended aquabreather so you can stay competitive during some intense underwater combat.

The ascended accessories from Bloodstone Fen are good because you can buy Bloodstone Capacitors to reset the stats of the gear.

i'd have mentioned: 3 ascended backpiece by working on PoF storyline (achievment raise the banners) ascended backpiece without any LW that only costs gold, even if a bit pricier then the other options that require you to do stuff (Quiver of a Thousand Arrows) Ascended amulet and acessories from LWS5 (after doing some minor quests to unlock the vendor) mist Talisman/pendant/Band for those who like pvp far more then pve. having the advantage that stats can be changed the gw2 wiki page that talks about the easiest way to get ascended gear

I think he didnt mention the PoF coz when you doing PoF story you prob already have geared your first character no? ^^ I always recommend new ppl to do the story in order I see no point in jumping around coz esp as a new player that would confuse you.

@@Becii yeah, it is a good point. but some people don't care for the story. That was my first asc backpiece, but back in the day, i wanted to rush to PoF to get mounts ASAP, that rush is no longer required

Also it might delay your ascended gear by a bit, but many legendaries have stat selectable ascended precursors that you can use while you work on finishing the legendary. I'm working on legendary pvp back and trinket and I'm able to use both of those precursors for my ascended gear in those slots while I finish farming the rest of the legendaries.

People sleep on lunatic set. Stat selectable exotic AND doesnt soulbound on a character. You can make viper,.trailblazer,celestial stat armor and all your characters can use it until you get ascended.

Another option for Accessories is to do Guild Events. These give you a Guild currency that you can spend on a vendor in the Guild Hall to buy ascended accessories.

For armor crafting Lunatic armor sets good option if you have the recipes. The're both Stat Selectable and Account Bound. Also getting Legendary Amulet "Prismatic Champion’s Regalia" from Seasons of the Dragons achievements is good goal to work towards to. Takes a bit of time, but is worth doing for the rewards

I'm fortunate that I can equip my characters with legendary gear. I wish Anet would provide legendary breathers and relics. Hopefully the relics will be released in February.

When you refer to legendary armor, do they have dedicated storage space or do they take up your inventory space?

Back in the days we simply crafted our exotic gear. You level up and complete maps so you'll have the materials.

What should I do, if I have 158 laurels, but there are no trinkets with the stats that I need power>vitality>ferocity. The laurel merchant in LA only have power>precision>ferocity>and only 16 vitality. Also, i have only a base game, yet (legacy account).

What build is that? That stat combo is Valkyrie which is not really good for any builds. If you really need to add some vitality to a build for wvw or something then celestial or marauder is way better. It's probably better for you to go full berserker stats right now. Some power builds have some pieces without precision because they hit crit cap with full ascended gear but if you still have exotic Armor or weapon you need precision.

I googled the wiki for all ascended trinkets, and i cant managed to find what i need. The wierd berserker trinkets with only few points of Vitality is the only option, i guess. No Valkyrie ascended trinkets for me.

Not really good idea to assume everyone has all living world when they hit level 80. It might take weeks or months to unlock the living world maps and you don't want to have those people running around in level 70 yellows that whole time. Should also be mentioned that the only useful stats from laurel merchant on the amulets part are berserker and celestial. So for new players I would say first of all go for a power build(find a build that uses berserker stats for gear and defensive traits to stay alive to make sure you can use the same gear in instanced content too) . Then for accessoires you get ascended neck from laurels, 1 ascended accessory if you can find a guild to clear the missions with for commendations. For the other 3 slots you have to kinda get them for 2gold each on trading post. If you don't mind skipping the hot and pof story and going straight to EOD then another option is to buy the rare level 80 ones for 10silver each and do the elite spec collections instead

Also, honestly, if you're at the point where you seriously plan to go Ascended, getting one or to LWS maps REALLY isn't far-fetched. Not to mention he literally did give ways to do it that don't require LWS. Honestly, your comment is just arrogant, in bad faith and plainly idiotic.

Just a correction. The Warlord Armor is not the same as the Triumphant (WvW) or Glorious (PvP) Armors. For the Warlord set, you don’t have to activate any reward track. Just play WvW/PvP and you’ll earn it eventually by earning pips when playing. You only select a particular reward track for the Triumphant and Glorious sets. Make sure you have that reward track active when playing either WvW or PvP. Cheers!

This game is completely nuts..it was bad enough just getting to 80..now just getting better gear is a job in it self..I'm finding endgame is a complete grind and definitely not casual friendly..it shouldn't take weeks-months to just get a few pieces of gear .not to mention HP and MP..and then you must buy the LW seasons with gems..and yes I know you can exchange gold for gems but if you dont have gold then you can't actually buy the LW season's..had no idea just how much of the story was locked behind a pay wall..
