Bloody hell what time did you film this video, never seen the A3 look so empty!

on the first roundabout can you also position in the left hand lane to go straight ahead/ 2nd exist because isnt it better to be in the left lane especially considering the left lane doesnt say it only goes left?
@DrivingTestRoutesUK5 ай бұрын
good question but as this roundabout only has 2 exits, think of it this way first exit left and 2nd exit ahead which is why you would move to the right hand lane, also consider if you stayed in the left hand lane to go ahead as you put it and I went in the right hand lane to take the second exit right we would be adjacent to each other on the roundabout but crashing into each other as we exited the roundabout as there is only one lane there. Hope that clarifies it. For roundabouts with 3 or more exits left lane for 1st left and 2nd ahead, right hand lane for 3rd right, 4th right, etc. - where the roundabout only has two exits it is left lane for 1st exit left and right lane for 2nd exit right, unless you had road markings telling you something different. Hope that helps

At 23:10, why could you not have been in the 'middle' of the three lanes to head straight over the roundabout instead of being in the furthest right one?

Hi, because the middle lane only goes left at the roundabout, if you go to 23.01 on the video you can see the sign there, there are also road marking but are quite worn out and not so visible on the video. Good luck with your test, definitely worth a bit more practise and look out for all the signs and road markings

2:13 should you not have pulled into the central reservation?

Yes you could do but as I could see there was no on coming traffic and I was already indicating without any traffic close behind me there wasn’t a need to use it early.
