I like using Back+HP the most. I also like using drive rush snd forcing a 50 50 by utilizing Forward+MP or Down+MK.

Thanks! I am glad it was helpful. On controller, I just hold Down/Forward the entire time until it is time to flash kick. Also, the charge counts if you begin holding it as Drive Impact hits. Hopefully that helps!

Youll have do go from bottom left to up right for the flash kick and then left right for the super. this way you chage left and down at the same time. takes some getting used to, but works finde. a nice combo for that is DR -> forward medium punch (overhead, start chargin down left immediately after) -> down medium punch -> heavy flash kick -> super lvl 3. Around 5k Damage, and the DR into overhead catches a lot of people off guard.

You do hold charge. It is just something to get used to. As I DRC, I immediately hold back. It is just something to get used to playing Guile.

I feel like charge characters are easier to play on a traditional arcade stick or hitbox because of the types of inputs. The biggest struggle on Guile and controller are his supers (easier to do with analog stick over d-pad)

I'm having a hard time figuring out how to have enough charge for the specials. For example, the MP>4HP>CA I'm having a hard time having enough charge by the time I get into the cancel window

You can just hold 4 the whole time. So hold back when you out the mp out and then hit hp then cancel. Hope that helps. Also, you can charge on cutscenes like DI or super moves.

This was very helpful! I can't wait for the next video. If you could, in your next video I want you to cover Guile being able to do a FADC to Lvl 3 super. In addition to that, I would also like for you to cover Poke/Reach because I face some serious problems with Manon. So Manon, when she jumps forward either HK or MK, her legs reach ridiculously. I can't get a proper anti-air with MK. If I did HP it would just trade hits & that's not good. Distancing with MK isn't good on her either. If you can shed a light on how to deal with char who have solid cross ups that would be great. Also another problem I face with Manon is her over head kick. Guile being a charge char usually is crouching low, that overhead of hers is ridiculous to cover and allows her to DR to combo/Medal grab. What would be my best options when it comes to that?

I'm actually looking into how to fight Manon better right now. She is one of his most difficult match ups in my opinion. I just posted a video of me fighting her and how she is super difficult lol. Thanks! For the super combos, you just have to make sure you beging charging as early as possible. So, on the animation of the first hit begin holding back and try to cancel into the super as late as possible. That way your charge is good to go. I hope that helps!

What are some of your go to block strings when applying pressure looking for a button push

I use his crouch light punch mostly. You can end in Sonic Boom but if your opponent has an invincible option it can be punished. I also like to end my jab strings and then walk back and use Back+HP or standing LK to punish their start up and combo into drive rush. I am sure there sre other options too but that is what I have been doing lately.

I loved every second of this. I have to ask tho. With combos that only link off punishes, how do you react to the punish hit and go “ah , now it’s time for the punish combo”. Do you just practice until it’s muscle memory? Are you fishing for those procs? I’d love to know your mindset with those.

Thanks for the kind words. Seeing the hit is a counter is one if the most difficult things to do and I never really got it down in SFV... But I also only played that game for a few months. In this game it pops up pretty big on the side of the screen so that helps me know. The sound of the kit is different too. I'm also just getting better at seeing it now. I do think it takes time though. It isn't very easy. Hope that helps.

For PS5 you can either get a converter from Brook or try the Hori Octa. It is a pretty good pad. I have it. There are other options as well though too. Those are the ones I have experience with.

Nice guide, practical and to the point. My favourite route into super lvl 3/CA is DR -> fwd medium punch -> down medium punch -> heavy FK -> super. Around 5k damage. Guile feels great in SF6.

Just another point on his target combos. Down MK -> fwd HP is another target combo. And while it's risky to DI because none of it is cancelable, it's a really good poking pressure tool as it mixes up blocking.
