Things I noticed: 0:27-0:32 looks like the replacement to his levels and coins for Mist Finer, now he gets rewarded for setting up cards instead. When he hits Ky with low Mist Finer the card goes off after a delay and pops him up way higher. The front flip move he does against Goldlewis leaves a card embedded in the ground that also detonates like that. 0:38 looks like Ensenga from Accent Core is back, hell yeah. Might be a grounded move now since it looks like he throws the whiskey bottle way before he leaves the ground. 0:50 A clearer view of the card detonating after Mist Finer lands. The main thing I'm interested in seeing is how the other versions of Mist Finer interact with the cards, do they all do the same pop up effect or does mid/high get a wall bounce or a tumble state, etc? Also we didn't see high Mist Finer at all. Bacchus Sigh is probably gone which I mean not surprising really, I expected him to keep it but just have it cause Guard Crush like Fafnir.

Front flip is new Zweihander (more accurately it’s just Killer Joker but he’s throwing that card down, seems he hits first if he’s closer then card, or if he’s far away card hits then him, wonder how that’ll affect frame data) btw, I am loving that it throws the card first if he’s far so it’s almost like a little ranged attack guaranteeing his approach, will have to see if mist finer can be done in air like before, although given its strive I’d doubt it

I literally just woke up and the first thing I see is my man Johnny back in Strive, today is gonna be a good day! Love how he looks in this game, his iconic design is still very much intact (don't fix what isnt broken!). Also fantastic to hear Liam O'Brien lending his voice for Johnny, as an Akihiko Sanada fan you're getting no complaints from me His gameplay is looking fantastic as always, his kit seems to be mostly the same as before but I noticed a new move in which he uses playing cards instead of his coins so that should be interesting (and did I see Enseega come back!?!?)

I had no idea what to expect from this, I've only been playing Strive since like April, but this is a good pick. Not my personal top pick but Johnny's cool and I know tons of people ADORE him so I'm happy that they're happy. Plus, the song sounds great as always. Anyone got a read on the lyrics of that first line of the theme? The latter half is easy. "the word of the guy who was hated by the god of failure." The first half is harder. Best I can do so far is "Just lean, [seein' what's called?] the years the word of the guy who was hated by the god of failure. Just lean!" The first "Just lean" is hard to make out, but the part at the end makes more sense as a repetition, and is a bit clearer. Those three-ish syllables after that are super tricky though, and I haven't been able to fit something that makes sense yet. "the years" also might be wrong I guess? I have medium confidence about that.

Also i would like for him to not have different combo routs depending on the enemy character like in xrd. I feel like he should be somewhere around Happy Chaos difficulty in strive, and definitely not the hardest character in the game (i'm not even sure if that's possible with asuka around)
