RIP Gord. Yeah, the hook of Sundown is the drone-y sound of the chords, so your advanced way really captures its essence. Thanks!

I learned to play this song many years ago.I recently Had a Heart attack and mild stroke a few years back. So my Memory has been foggy.... But, Thank God i bounced back from that! Now, On May 1st 2023 Mr. Lightfoot passed away. so i thought i would revisit this song again. ( I had forgotten the Chords. Because of the earlier Mentioned Problems) But once i Saw the first 5 minutes. It all came back to me :) And it was simple both ways that you taught. Thanks Steve for the lesson! and Thanks to Mr Lightfoot for Writing such Great songs! :) May He Rest in Peace. Oh. and I subscribed :)

I’ve been on this guitar journey for 4 years. I’ve checked out many of the popular teachers. There are some really good ones out there. Steve you do such a great job with beginning guitar players. Your song selection, your relaxed approach. You give people plenty of freedom to move at their own pace. And ideas on how to take it up a notch. I taught middle schoolers for 33 years so I feel like I can spot an exceptional teacher. Great work keep it up.

What a great video!!!!! Finally, someone who actually not only tells you what chords to play, but in what order they should be played. I'm totally blind and so many videos don't really talk about what chords you should do, but are always talking about things they want you to look at on screen. I'll probably start with the easier version of the song as they are all chords I know. I've got a martin d18 and I know this song will sound great on it. I'm mostly into country and bluegrass. However, this song is very cool. Thanks again for a great video.

Your special A chord is actually Asus2.
@GuitarSongsChannel Жыл бұрын
Hi Bernd. Thanks for your comment and feedback. You are absolutely right. Asus2 it is. Sometimes people get confused with chord names so I try to keep it simple but that's the correct name for the chord. Relative to the capo obviously...otherwise its a Bsus2. Thanks again for posting and the good info.
