Another good lesson, thanks. Still smoothing out the REM song along side these exercises. Only issue is keeping the note ringing out on the five fret slide. It currently just seems to die before completing the full slide. Thanks for taking the time to put these lessons here.

Thank you again for your excellent course. My guitar playing is definitely improving. Just a quick question on lesson 8 if I may: When picking out the melody with the annular finger, shouldn't we be using the little finger on the high E string?
@guitar-academy
@guitar-academy 2 ай бұрын
From a contemporary point of view, yes you can use the little finger if you want. From a classical point of view you shouldn't use the little finger in a situation like this. From the point of view of the course play it as described because it's teaching you an important technique. So basically everything is right 😊😀

Great lessons, I've been following along and have already added Autumn to my repertoire. I bought the whole PDF, but I can't find the music for this song and lessons. Month 9 ends with Everybody hurts, the song before this and Month 10 starts with Susan's Song. Have I missed something? At any rate, I'll muddle through - definitely want to learn this one. Thanks again

Whenever I pick the b and high e string it sounds really “bright” and makes my pinched strings sound way too shrill. Do I just cut off the nail? The other 4 strings sound normal with my nails.

I’m using a steel string acoustic by the way
@guitar-academy
@guitar-academy 2 жыл бұрын
That's interesting . . It might be the strings that are badly balanced. If you haven't changed strings for a long time or you've only replaced 1 or 2, it might be time to put a new set on. The tone of the strings changes over time. 🤔
@flaviotrejo6344
@flaviotrejo6344 2 жыл бұрын
@@guitar-academy yeah it's been a while since I last changed them so it could be that. It does sound better now that I've practiced it more, guess my technique was the real issue. Thanks !

Thanks for great lessons but I understood that the thumb should be used for E, A & D strings should I change this for this and similar patterns?
@guitar-academy
@guitar-academy 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, the thumb covers the bottom strings 'most of the time', however there are times where the melody overlaps the bass line (like in this tune) or the bass line ends up on the G or B string, but this is for future lessons. 😃

do you mean exercise 6 ?? The pull offs should be pulled off to the side so you pluck the string as you pull the finger away. kzbin.info/www/bejne/naqxaWmrp71gadE
