I've been a fan of Mississippi John Hurt and of this tune for over 40 years. Most of the tutorials and cover versions miss the mark, but this one is pretty much perfect. Great job! Michel.

Just found this. Very nice! As Gene B remarks, best I've seen. If you listen to a number of Rev. Davis' recordings he never plays it exactly the same. The magic of this style of music. Cheers.

Outstanding lesson! But I wish the camera was a little more focused on the fretboard. Still great though. You really got the swing that he had, and that ain't easy.

Great playing but the camera angle makes it very difficult to see/follow the left hand finger positions.

Amazing cover. Sometimes people miss notes or play the wrong notes. This sounds great. It's been a dream of mine to play this style of music around France, Greece, Europe. It's unique... One of the best mostly unknown or underappreciated cultural movements of the US. Each piece paints a picture of struggle, apprehension, human emotion, and the beauty of playing music for some chickens. The style is perfect for many different occasions from busking to live shows at restaurants and Ive even played MJH with a live rock band. Do you play out often?

Welcome! Merci. Michel

+kevin lth Très bonne remarque, mais KZbin est international et le reste du monde ne parle français... Notez que j'ai fait des leçons en français sur ma chaîne dans ce style. Cdt.
