Something I observed. On KZbin you have a billion great guitar players searching for Eddie’s tone. You nailed it for the 1982 tour live sound. With this guitar and amp. Boxy brown sound, low distortion, high volume (I suspect). Bravo!!!!!!

Back in 2007 when I was a teen, we got one of these on special order at my local guitar shop and I was lucky enough that my guitar teacher took me downstairs to the store room to take a look at it before the owner came to pick it up. It was still in the box and he popped it open so we could check it out in person. Still, such a cool experience to have had as a teenager.

Hats off to Michael Lemmo! I'm a huge Eddie Van Halen fan and always looking for all the videos out there about EVH guitars, amps and sound. There are a lot of really fine examples of EVH imitators. But Michael Lemmo is here so close sounding to the original EVH that it is unbelievable! You would have well-deserved that guitar! Rock on, playing like the devil!

My local Sam Ash had one of those exact replica's in a glass case a few years back. The price tag was $23,000. Accurate down to the cigarette burns, the 1978 quarter and the truck reflectors on the back. I felt like a Muslim pilgrim at Mecca, or a Catholic looking at the Holy Grail. For a rock lover and a guitarist, this is the most holy of holies of artifacts. Especially being a teenager in the 80's Eddie was our leader. Well demonstrated.

Have a feeling that the Smithsonian honor might have been the most gratifying thing he ever got. Chasing tone was a s big to him as playing was so to be recognized for it must have been huge. The level of detail is crazy… Trogly had one in one of his guitar eps and I’m not sure if you noticed on this one but there’s even tiny metal flakes magnetised to the pickup pole pieces like Eddie’s. No stone unturned. So impressed and I’m not really a relic/sig guitar guy. Stellar playing Mike.
