Just a helpful tip, after playing the "teaching" progression, instead of hitting the band button and then the loop button on the next go-around, just hit the loop button. The band will start and the looper will instantly start to record you. Just play the part twice back to back. One teaches the band, the next drops the first loop layer. Makes a smoother transition should you desire one. Hope this is helpful.

This demo is so much better than Chapman's demo of the original Trio, which was embarrassingly negative and did nothing but show up his own limitations.

LordMoloch Sadly, that’s rapidly becoming the norm for Rob. Nothing against him personally but his playing is just so one dimensional. Mick and Pete are WAY better with these demos.

Congrats Lee, you have done a brilliant job recruiting these two, wonderful players with genuine rapport and demo skills, funny without trying to be, that's the best part. I now want one of these more than I've ever wanted a pedal, much better than the trio (and I thought that was great). This little beauty will be $400 plus in Australia, but I can't wait to get one, Digitech are onto a diamond mine with this, cheers.

hello from across the pond! I've watched this video dozens of times, & I listen to it in headphones at work. don't ask me why. my story is a long one. my guitar playing goes back to the 1970s. I've had 3 lessons in my life, after the teacher, who came to my house for a half hour once a week, kept slapping my thumb- because it would creep over the neck, I kicked him out! from then on I learned out of books and completely by ear. We didn't have KZbin. We didn't have DVD collections of Esteban, or learn riff vids, we did it all on our own. Then I found a univox ec-100 echo chamber. it came with a small cassette tape in the back of the unit, that you would record 1 track onto. I would use a guitar track, and record from 30 seconds to three minutes using a speed control knob. once your track is completed, you pulled out the speed knob (pull/playback) and it played back for you in a looping fashion. Then you can play along with your recorded loop, live. regrettably, I lost that unit many many years ago. then I find this device, the trio+, and this is a 1000 times that unit! I have finally returned home! I still haven't scraped enough funds together to get my own personal trio+ just yet, but I'll be ready for it when I do, because watching your video gave me all the basics I need to know to me get going. for that, I cannot ever thank you two enough for. question please, when mick plays a chord pattern during The Rock genre towards the end of the vid, it basically looks like he starts in A, then that next chord I cannot identify, then to G, and the final chord I also cannot identify. would you help me please by telling me that chord pattern? please?? I have tried to replicate them by what I can see and what I'm hearing, and I still haven't nailed it down. I really enjoy hearing those changes in that genre. keep up the great vids guys. I enjoy watching both of you two collaborate together! Cheers and take it easy.

In '83, I was pumping a Yamaha MR10 drum loop out of my Yamaha G100-212 into the on-board mic of a late 70s Panasonic portable cassette recorder. And patching in my electric guitar...somehow??? This Trio+ Pedal reminds me the time when I got the Korg AX-100G and my favorite feature was the drum set for jamming, I learnt a lot about to keep time of my guitar, I improved a lot my playing and that mode doesn't have any drum break for chorus, bridge or whatever part of the song, just a plain and simple rhythm soundings at background.

What I don't seem to get is - why would you play the first part, which Mick is playing from 10:08 to 10:27? It never appears in any further stage of the looping or the sequences. I understand the "Style" is chosen alone from the pedal and not from the way of playing (10:08-10:27), right? The first "recording" takes place from 10:47 to 11:06. which is then later part of the looping and the sequende. Just the first part is not showing up anywhere in the whole thing. What is this first part doing?

I wish I had known about this before I bought both a loop pedal and a Beat Buddy. I ended up really not liking the Beat Buddy very much. I just wanted to create my own jam tracks to practice with, and this Trio+ would do that much better. The Beat Buddy didn't include a simple no nonsense drum loop that I was able to use. There are a lot included with it, but nothing that I found useful. Right off the bat, this Trio+ does with the drums what I wanted the BB to do. Also, the Trio+ includes a bass line, which would be great addition for practicing. Not that I'm planning on performing gigs, but I like that it can be used to create backing with different parts to create whole songs.
