Acthually! That Marshall 20C is not loaded with a 1x12, the 50W version is. That little speaker, making all the glorious noises, is a 1x10! Kudos to Marshall for making the thing sound that good.

@Jinballify
@Jinballify Жыл бұрын
@@robertcarey3383 Kind of thought so too at first, but the more I hear of these the more I'm thinking it absolutely was a right call. The speaker (and the cabinet) is very well voiced, and thus gives a unique twist to the sound that sits very nicely in a mix, and live setup. And, as mentioned it can always be paired with an external cabinet for some 12'ness when needed. 👍

Rabae is to me today what Dimebag was when I started playing guitar. Hes iconic in the sense he changes how I see and play guitar. Despite the two playing a very diferent style of music, Rabae has a sound unique to himself that is not only heavy and gutteral, but also has some of the most ominous and soothing tones that show the range of his chops. Its crazy how humble he is despite his success.

Totally agree. I also really love Danish Pete's playing and tone . I love hearing the whole andetons crew rocking the high end epiphones. They make them sound so good and with my eyes closed I would think I am hearing custom shop gibsons . Their epiphone 59 videos are fantastic displays of great tone and playing. I have recently also been Heavily influenced by Jack of peach guitars. His tone and playing are killer He has changed my taste in tone and I have been able to get quite close to tome and his playing style is influencing me as well . Johan Segeborn has also been a big influence on me the last couple of years. His playing style is really great . Its very much a tone lovers playing style. Both Jack and Johan are able to get the best out of modern Gibson pickups. They have made me fall in love with the modern Gibson PAF style humbucker tone . I was all about replacing all my gibson pickups with Duncan's and I still have Duncan's in some of my guitars but Johan and Jack have made me fall in love with modern Gibson humbuckers an I now prefer them to most Duncan's with the exception of my seth lovers and whole lotta humbkckers but the custombucker and burstbucker families are just as good and in most cases I like the gibsons better these days

The Marshall Origin is a fantastic pedal platform. I have a 50c and my favorite pedals for chuggin with it is an 808 into a Nobels ODR-1. The speaker combo of choice with it is a DV77 paired with a Jensen Nighthawk. The tilt knob is what makes it such a great pedal platform. Dime the tilt for your Marshall Plexi tones, and if it gets too bright, adjust the tilt.

I like my Marshall Origin and the foot switch came with it so I don't see why using it to turn on the effects loop would be an issue. The foot switch has a boost switch too so you can use the effects loop and hit the boost from the pedal. Works well for me. The Origin has a great clean and you can get it to drive and break up if you want.

@@gnoogie Certainly, absolutely anything sounds better through a good speaker. (there are some hilarious videos of people modding tiny plastic practice amps like the MS2 so they can be played through a 4x12) Come to think of it, the Katana Artist gets its improved tones via factory speaker upgrade. That said, while the Katana sounds good to most players, myself included, IMHO a good tube amp still sounds better.

It’s boring for a show but my first thought was HX Stomp and a HSS strat of some kind. Not a super exciting watch probably. But seems like it would make a nice backup rig or quick solution.

I feel like a grand just isn't enough, though the resulting rig does sound great to me. Also great to see Rabea in a video again, too. Thanks!

Bugera V22 combo ($499 U.S., with clean and gain channels and foot switch included (3 12 AX7 preamp tubes, 2 EL 84 power tubes); the Squire Affinity sounds fantastic and it's beautiful, TC Electronics Hall of Fame Reverb (about $160 U.S.), the Behringer fuzz is incredible for 20 quid, Add the Tone City Delay for about $60 and you're good to go..

I really like the bugera has automatic tube monitoring also! I literally just bought a jc 22 but honestly I might return for the bugera I just can’t decide 😭

The capacitor on the tone cap is why the two strats sound so different. Put that fender cap in the Yamaha, and it'll sound league's better.

Guys that's exactly what I was thinking - only strat can give you that amazing neck pickup tone 😉

So enjoyed this video and no doubt watching it again. Rabea ‘s knowledge was really helpful from the get go. . Really asumed he’d go for the 5150. Just shows you

Needs more than 1K, but very versatile rig: Jackson JS32 or Kramer Striker. HX Effects Catalyst 100 IMO. Origin is a good choice, IMO. I have the Origin 50C combo, was soo good, I also have the Origin 50H and 2 x Origin 4x12 cabs, using the HX Effects in front. Also have the Catalyst 100, using the HX Effects in 4CM with MIDI to control the amp patch and to control the amp boost.

Great video! I never thought much of Squire guitars but Rabea makes it sound like a $1000 guitar. Even if you hate the humbucker in it, getting a good Seymour Duncan to replace it isn't out of reach financially. Do that and change the tuners maybe and you have a solid instrument. Next video request: I would love to see the guys review the Devin Townsend Fishman pickups and demo the three configurations out of them.

1000 Pounds is pretty easy: Line 6 HX Stomp, Ibanez GRG 121DX and then you still got money left to get some beer going :D

This IMO the way to go if you only have 1000. These allow much more room for grow with more gear in the future

I liked the approach to this. It was honest. I was really hoping we weren't gonna slap another Katana in the mix and off ya go. I also appreciate the single pedal approach. If a gig were on the line, I would not throw an unknown (for me anyway) multi-effects in and count on it for everything. If it crapped out, you lose everything. At least with a single, you can kick it out of the line and get by.

It appears he wants to re-invent and pave a new way. When the magic of a relationship is gone one must move on. Or maybe it just takes a minute to re-gel with friends you haven’t seen in a few?
