I bought Grace when it came out. Paid for it and rushed home with it like I was holding some kind of secret treasure. Lights off, candles lit, headphones on. Listened all the way through without stopping. I was moved to tears at least 3 separate times. It's a masterpiece, with so many beautiful influences.

Ahh, I'm so glad you are showcasing Jeff Buckley! Such a tragic story. I can't even IMAGINE what music the world missed out on bc he was no longer in it. It's so sad how many people don't know about him bc he was so young and just gaining traction. An ex-boyfriend of mine introduced me to him many years ago. I always say the best thing I took from that relationship was the music he introduced me to 😂 Thank you for introducing his greatness to others!

Jeff Buckley was absolutely magical. His mastery of both his vocal and electronic instruments, for me, is unrivaled. He was one of the greats and his death robbed us of the magnificence that was to come.

Ive always loved how he never feared the "ugly" notes. Tori Amos is another singer that has that quality and I cant help but to think that his untimely death could have deprived the world of a beautiful collaboration between the two of them.

I’ve seen this performance live many times but I’m glad you explained that technique he was doing with the vibration/tapping. I’m not a guitar player so that was really interesting. He had worked on his skills for many years before he went on stage. What we are seeing was his absolute best it’s just a shame what happened that we couldn’t see more. I’m sure he would only have gotten better!

Great reaction. I personally struggle to choose who I think is the best. This one, or the original with Leonard Cohen. If I hear the original, I think it's the best, and if I hear this one, I might think this one is the best sometimes. So both are pretty amazing. Greetings from Norway. 😀

WOW. Had never heard of this dude. Early nineties was when I shifted from Pop and Rock into the realm of Opera exclusively for about 15 years.. I agree that his Cover was better than Leonards. In fact, better than any cover I have ever heard of this song.👍❤️‍🔥👍I was blown away by his vocal prowess; the dynamic and breath control was incredible.🤩👏👏🥹. The guitar playing was also amazing- thank you for telling us what he was doing. I am still in "the guitar playing sounds amazing but I don't know why" phase of my education.
