Straight out of the gate with a D-tier. lol I agree though. I think it was/is commonly suggested that people start playing guitar on a steel string acoustic because if you can play *them* well, then you can play just about anything well. It's how I initially started playing, and not only did it just hurt to play because of no calluses and stuff, it was just difficult to play. String tension is super stiff on acoustic guitars, and when you have a budget acoustic (like most would just starting off) they're really poorly setup, so the action is super high which exacerbates the issue of stiff strings with no calluses. These days, because cnc is so prevalent, even budget electric guitars are decent learning rigs.
@ClainesWorld2 ай бұрын
@@moonbyul873 agreed!!
@Steve-s4bАй бұрын
I made the same acoustic mistake. Start learning how to play on the type of guitar that facilitates playing the music you like. All of my favorite guitarists in my favorite bands play 7 and 8 strings. So while there is indeed a bit more of a learning curve, I went with an electric 7 immediately. I couldn't play the music I wanted to play on an acoustic, so I didn't play it. Just a waste of money in my specific case.
