Jonny is such a dynamic performer. I saw him for the first time in 1999 and became addicted, lol. I've seen him in concert 30+ times and it never got old. I've been sad that he hasn't given any updates on his voice issue since 2021. I hope he can return to music.

Its cool to see a Jonny Lang react!!! Could have a masterclass in vocal training with him too. I was lucky to see him SEVERAL times. Shame the decades of over reaching his vocals forced him to quit touring all together... Would be cool to see how you react to that as well, espescially with your recent vocal training. Not taking anything away from him, honestly, hes probably one of the reasons i oicked up a guitar in the first place!

I don't know if you have seen 15 yr old Taj Farrant. He and Christone "Kingfish" Ingram have been touted as the future of the blues. Kingfish is more blues where Taj is blues/rock. They are supposed to do a song on Taj's 2nd album. Taj is touring now promoting his first album Chapter One. Taj's favorite guitar player is Gary Moore and he plays Gary's Parisienne Walkways at every show. Taj's first album has 6 original songs that went to #1 on iTunes worldwide blues charts. His album was #1 on iTunes worldwide and #2 on Billboard Blues charts. It's so hard to describe how good Taj is live. His videos are great but seeing him live is another level. He's a really great young man. He's so sweet and humble. He's easy to talk and really knowledgeable about his equipment. When he gets onstage he becomes one with the guitar and takes you with him on his music journey. His album was produced by grammy award winning Ken Lewis who said when someone asked him if he would work with a 14 yr old he said no and then told it was blues he said no way. He saw Taj's show and said can you be in the studio tomorrow. He said Taj could stand toe to toe with any guitar player out there. Which is probably a good thing given the past year Taj had and some of the people he played with like Eric Gales and Buddy Guy. He's just fun to watch. Check out him playing his song Mumma Raised a Man at any of his live shows or him playing Prince's The Ride at Telluride Blues festival. He was asked to play it at the 40th anniversary celebration for Prince and the release of Purple Rain. He also performed Purple Rain with Prince's band NPG. He's an independent artist. Everything he has accomplished has been thru videos and word of mouth. Taj was the youngest guitar player endorsed by Gibson at 9 yrs old. He is endorsed by Kiesel and mostly plays his signature gold top guitar by them.

I have seen Jonny Lang live twice, and I recently watched about half a dozen videos of him performing A Quitter Never Wins. I noticed that he performs the same shtick almost every time: he plays the signature riff, then his equipment manager comes out with a different guitar. He sings some lines while casually fiddling with his guitar and strap, and then explodes into the solo. Is this just theatrics? It works for me. Its like "yea, whatever. I dont even know if im in tune" then he melts your face.

He’s great at both. But his voice is damaged. Hoping he recovers and we see him again. He’s a phenom. He can still play guitar and have another singer like others have done. But maybe he wants to do both. I’ve seen him blow Buddy Guy and Ronnie Wood blow them off the stage. His guitar playing involves his whole body.
