This is a sweet way to sound like you know exactly what you're doing with your guitar...and it's SUPER EASY.
If you want to get your hands on another great lesson, you need to check out my favorite lesson to teach.
It's called 'How To INSTANTLY Solo In Any Key" and that's available on our KZbin channel, right here: • How To INSTANTLY Solo ...
Have fun!

Beautiful! Who else likes to mess around constantly moving open chord shapes to see what happens? Sometimes I discover sounds that are stunningly gorgeous like 💖🌈👌. Mostly I make sounds more like 😱🥴🤢. Regardless, it’s always interesting and educational. I never knew there was a name for them: Chord Parallels! Excellent, thank you. But come on now, why the heck play that E shape with 3/4/pinkie? I suspect there are additions to be made with the first finger that you did not explain. Guess I’ll go mess around some more! Take care out there, everybody 🎸☮️🌮

If you move the finger on the g-string down one fret you get a minor chord which sounds great on the second, third, and sixth step of the scale as well. Harry Styles' "Two Ghosts" uses them and it really elevates the chord progression beyond just playing "regular" chords.

Allman bros Was my first thaught too, and I’m just a Keyboard player. Paralell chords on the guitar is such a fairly easy way for even newbies to spicing up your rhythm without knowing a great deal of complicated music theory. Its way easier on the guitar than a keyboard as Its often just knowing how many frets to move your hand if you have the basic chords and rhythms nailed.
