This was an informative video. As of this comment I've owned the Boss GT-1 for less than 10 days. I also don't have experience using guitar pedals other than the Boss RC-5 looper. Your Boss GT-1 tutorials are helping me understand how to use the GT-1. Your videos like this "Boss GT-1 ALL in ONE patch | Clean | OD/DS | Lead | Tutorial" help me understand how to use virtual pedals, which will help me in the future when I decide to buy physical guitar pedals after getting a good idea of the foundation type sound that I want for my primary guitar tone. Thanks and great job! 👍

Hi there, motorbikeRay. Thanks for your comment, and for the kind words, I greatly appreciate it. Great choice of going with the GT-1, it's a really great piece of gear. I actually just used mine last night, for a party gig, and it performed really well. Just like it has always done for me! That's excellent, I'm glad I can help. Thanks for another great GT-1 tutorial. The clear explanation of level adjustment was just what I needed. Thanks for sharing your workflow. It was inspiring. I thought that I would have to buy some pedals but I remembers that I can change the function of the up and down switches to turn on effects. ). So I set the up switch to turn on the overdrive and set the CTL1 to turn on the preamp solo with and assign for the delay. To retain the functionality the up and down pedals, I just have to have it on the top of the small list of patches that I use ( because the up switch will not function at that patch.) (I learned that when my down button started doing crazy things, Thanks Roland Support Team for your help) . Love your Clean Chorus Sound! Take Care T.

Hi there, Tony. Thank you very much for your comment, and kind words. It's all greatly appreciated. I'm glad you found the information useful. The level adjustment aspect is important, and keeping the levels consistent will greatly improve the overall tone and sound of your patches. Indeed, you can set up the UP and DOWN footswitch to do whatever you want, as well as using the Assigns, to take even further control of effects and parameters. Thanks - there's nothing like a great clean sound with some lush chorus, I love that! You take care too, and please let me know if there's anything I can do. Best regards.

Hello Again, While I got you on the line. Do you know if it is possible to produce a 100% wet reverb with the GT-1? I would like to produce a Drone sound without buying more equipment.(which seems all too tempting). but I haven't been able to cancel out the dry signal completely. Thanks for your help Tony

Hi GuitarNTabs, Thank you for posting all of these great videos on the GT-1 and GT-100. You are a very good teacher. I like the portability of the GT-1 and was thinking about buying one. However, I was trying to find out more about strategies for using it in a live performance situation as part of a compact pedal board. Many of us don't have the resources to build a fancy pedal board with a lot of mini pedals, so a multi effects-based pedal board seems like a good option. Can you please do a video update of your compact pedal board build with a demonstration on how you use it. I think many of your viewers would like to see how you can switch to different sounds or patches under gig conditions. Thanks again for your excellent work. Also, don't know if it's me but I'm having trouble loading Parts 1 and 2 of your build videos.

Hi there, Charles. It's my pleasure, I'm glad you like the content. You're spot on, and that's what I had in mind too, when I decided on the GT-1 and put together my own little compact pedalboard. Thanks for the request, I would be more than happy to do that, and I actually already have something going on. I used my GT-1 live just last night, at a party gig, and I will ensure to make a demonstration of the board and its patches, etc. Thanks for your kind words, they are greatly appreciated! Hmm, Part 1 and Part 2 of the Pedalboard build?? Thanks again!

How can I do all these without a Windows Laptop? I only have the Boss gt1 and my guitar with me for now.
@GuitarNTabs3 жыл бұрын
Hi there, Joseph. Thanks for watching, and thanks for your comment and question. What I did here, in Tone Studio, you can do on the GT-1 itself. You simply have to access the different effect blocks, and set them up, like you would on regular stompboxes. Then, for the assigns, you would press the Memory-Edit button, and use the CT1 as well as the 6 available assigns (A1 - A6) You specify, in the Assign menu, what effect you want to control, and on which footswitch the effect engages. I'm pretty sure you can figure it out. Let me know how that goes, and please let me know if there's anything else I can do. All the best.

My friend. I'm also using gt-1 and I'm recording thru Reaper. All effects are good but when it comes to a distortion sound I think it's not that clear. What can you recommend? Thanks
@GuitarNTabs3 жыл бұрын
Hi there, Hmm, getting good OD/DS tones shouldn't be that hard. Do you use the GT-1's preamp models? What's your basic steps, when trying to set up a Distortion patch? Thanks.
@theplayingseaman3 жыл бұрын
@@GuitarNTabs yes sir. I'm using all effects That are available on my pedal especially preamp. But I think there is still lack of clarity. Do you think plugins from my DAW will help? Or gt-1 itself can do it alone to get the tone that I want. Thank you for answering my friend

Hi I have my gt connected to my audio interface line input and I was wondering how can I double track? Like pan track left and right on reaper? With plugins I don’t have a problem when panning.
@GuitarNTabs3 жыл бұрын
Hi there, Jorge. Just a thought... The GT-1 acts as an interface too, if you connect it to your computer, via USB. So in general an external Audio Interface isn't needed... Just to let you know. Double tracking is a matter of recording the same guitar part/melody on multiple separate tracks. Then panning one left and the other right. Panning should be found on the channel's individual parameters. I'm not familiar with Reaper, sadly... What's the issue you're having? Thanks for your comment.
@jorgeguitar25403 жыл бұрын
@@GuitarNTabs thanks for the reply. Yes I will like to do that but I need my audio interface. For example When I try to pan a single track to the left, the volume just drops on both right and left speaker. ( GT plugged to audio interfaces input)
@GuitarNTabs2 жыл бұрын
@@jorgeguitar2540 - If I may ask, why do you need your Audio Interface? It's just as easy with the GT-1, using it via USB. When you record a track, it's set to be in the middle of the spectre, when you then take that one track, and pan it to the left, then you will only hear it one the left side, so if that's the only track you have in your project, then that's why you only hear the left side. If you have a whole mix, then the rest of the channels should be fine, all depending on how they are panned. I hope this makes sense.

@@GuitarNTabs I need it to record vocals and I have monitors connected to them. So I have the output of the gt-1 connected the input of my interface. Yes that’s what I do with amp plugins but I can’t do this with the gt plugged straight to my interface
@GuitarNTabs2 жыл бұрын
@@jorgeguitar2540 - Hi again. I see, yes, for vocals you need the Audio Interface. That sounds strange, you should be able to record your tracks and then pan them, however you want. Have you tried recording all your tracks, then disconnect the GT-1 and continue the mixing/panning in your DAW? Cheers.

Bellissimo video ! Ho apoena venduto un Hotone Ampero per acqusitare Boss Gt1. Ti volevo chiedere se secondo te la Gt1 necessita di essere affiancata da un ir loader esterno oppure le simulazioni delle cab interne sono gia' buone ? Grazie mille.
@GuitarNTabs Жыл бұрын
Hi, Thank you for your comment and question. In my opinion there's no need for an external IR loader, the stock cabinets are plenty good, especially if you play around with them, because they will act differently, depending on the type of preamp you're using. I hope this helps. Best regards.

What's the signal path? Was it recorded directly to PC or mics?
@GuitarNTabs2 жыл бұрын
Hi there. All sounds are recorded directly to PC via the GT-1's USB. What you hear is all coming from the GT-1, its preamp models, speaker type and effects. Let me know if you need anything else. Best regards.

@@AdrianBlackfire74 - Hmm, it may depend on your home-stereo, if it's actually capable of reproducing the power and sound of the GT-1. Headphones are suitable for the GT-1, and some proper studio monitors, would be too. Make sure the Output Select is set to match the equipment you're using. Let me know if there's more I can do.
