@@gskelton2937 I see the similarities but it's hard to figure out how you respect Kingdom Come when they were even less subtle about ripping off Led Zeppelin, who were quite brazen at ripping off others themselves. :S

There's a reason Tom Petty never got butthurt and sued any artist's over alleged copyright infringement. The Beatles did it, Led Zeppelin did it, the list goes on and on ad nauseum. You can deny the song but there's no logical way to deny the talent.

Different songs. It's conceivable that it inspired Tender Surrender, but there is also VillaNova junction that's said to have inspired Tender Surrender too. Maybe they both did, but we can't say for sure now, can we? Only Vai can. That said, this is very common in music, things build on other things, people get inspired by others' works, and where required, copyrights are obtained Other than that, what credit do you think he should give, and how?
