I'm not saying it's the 1st time it's been done live, but it's the 1st time I've seen Jeremy (or any other person drumming for Vai) do the part from 3:00 - 3:09 just like it was done in the studio by Chris Frazier. It takes a lot of practice to get those double kicks to be syncopated then syncompated within another syncopation. In fact, this is probably the best live performance of this song ever, with the possible exception of full orchestra. Thanks Mr. Vai, your biggest fan Paul Fenz
@JasonMcNamara10 жыл бұрын
As the person who made this video, (that would be ME) thank you very much Paul Fenz. I really appreciate your comment. It's also great to know that someone out there would have appreciated the fact that from 3:04 to 3:08 you could see exactly what Jeremy was doing as well. Hopefully Steve will see your comment as well. I have no idea if he will, but maybe.

Very, very cool video. Unlike a lot of edits, this one gives some great close ups of the hard stuff Steve does, the little things you don't see on wide shots. The stability of the 'on board' shot is great for analysing Steve's techniques. It's also a sobering reminder that he is also human, and is just epically good at what he does. Nice touch showing Thomas Nordegg taking the guitar off stage at the end too. Great vid!
