14 or 15 separate notes? I do it the way I think you are teaching and it seems like it is missing one note! Are you doing the 5th fret on 3rd string twice before the hammer on right before you resolve on the A?

Here's the thing... a lot of the time, even with famous licks and solos from well-known songs, Steve usually advises his students to play it the way that sounds best to them.
