There is a big battle among youngsters, they all want to become the supreme leader of their generation. Gukesh, I discovered him in May 2021, I think he is best among the Indian youngsters. I was like, why all the media attention is on Pragg, Arjun or Nihal but not on Gukesh. Now he proved himself. In Biel, just before the olympiads, Gukesh beat Abdusattorov and Keymer and lost to Esipenko, Esipenko being still young but also experienced since he played in Wijk An Zee, Tata Steel twice. In Biel, Abdusattorov drew against Keymer. He also drew with him here in the olympiads. So, we will see what Gukesh will do against Keymer in the last round. Gukesh is becoming 2700+ for sure after the olympiads. Abdusattorov and Arjun can also cross 2700 depending on their last round performance. Keymer, Praggnanandhaa and Sarin are following them behind. Then these guys will engage in power struggle against Ali Reza, who got already battered by top 10 in the last candidates.

@@rebinraj7645 Winning and drawing chance according to an engine. Nothing is ever for sure in a human game unless they spot the exact sequence. I respectfully disagree with your comment. The win was because Abdussattorov played better at that time on a human level and he won it, not because Gukesh played badly. He would’ve won 100/100 in any position against you. There’s no need to be unnecessarily toxic and add pressure and blame to players.

Gukesh had a winning position the whole game. Computer was giving plus 2, plus 3. Abdusattorov ended up playing awesome moves to save the game. If you think you have a winning position the whole game, having a draw does not exactly feel nice. But in the end, Gukesh should've taken the draw. Then India 2 would have been sole leaders. He probably wanted to get 9.5/10.

@@thesavantart8480 Pragg beat Magnus in an online *Rapid** game. Obviously a great feat but you cannot deny the fact that it wasn’t entirely obvious whether or not he was going to convert it simply because of the fact that Rook vs Bishop can actually be a draw if the king is able to get to safety. I doubt Gukesh would’ve spent time calculating all that since he had his own game to play and could have assumed that if Sindarov managed to trade all the pawns and simplify to Rook vs Bishop then Pragg could very well draw.
