Partly agree, but nodirbek has showcased "active defense" by making counter-play in worse positions, unlike karjakin who used to just defend brilliantly. Both the methods are good in their own ways.

the world champion tried too hard to win the otherwise the dead draw position, that's why he lost. don't forget that. It was a stupid play by Magnus, who otherwise would have easily won this rapid championship event. Never mind, he will hopefully win blitz one easily. lets see.

This kid is all business. He's not into celebrations, or displays of euphoria, he’s not even into laughing much for that matter. A pretty serious, executive approach. He is just here to win. Period. He'll be a huge star one day, most likely, a world champion in classic. Idk if that will be good or not for the popularity of the game, after an era of big chess personalities, like the Carlsens, the Nakamuras, the Ivanchuks and company; but at least for me, it'll be just fine. Probably more than fine, it'll be great!

Gukesh almost had the upper hand here in the Gukesh vs Nodirbek game, Gukesh was completely crushing but Nodirbek found a superhuman recourse and drew the game. Other wise Gukesh had a strong chance to be the sole leader just b4 the last round.

Let's wait for him to shine in classical as well and please people don't put pressure on him with the " He's the future world champion" just like what you're all doing with Alireza.

Beating both Carlsen and Nepo is not a fluke. It is pure genius by Abdussattarov.

In 2019 Magnus dominated the blitz field in Moscow with 13 wins, 7 draws and 1 loss .. He was actually on a streak that only stumbled on a draw against Abdusattorov The kid had the same super nerves even back then I mean who plays the first tie-break game like that against someone who's just had a world championship level preperation?!
