So, here's something I've never thought about before now: That subway had (American) customers and the "sandwich artist" was wearing a subway uniform. What kind of North Korean invasion would just let private businesses operate like nothing changed? I'd understand if the customers were all soldiers, or party members, or those collaborator guys, because they do get special treatment in real North Korea, but this "North Korean occupation" just looks like America with some propaganda posters put up. The first Red Dawn was pretty convincing with its total soviet takeover; the remake, on the other hand, had Subway product placement in the middle of a Communist occupation. At least when Gorbachev did that Pizza Hut commercial it was in the middle of sweeping reforms and improving relations with the west.

What else can they do than let them run? No way an invading force would bring with them enough resources to effectively replace the economy of an occupied country. They would probably just yeet some of the executives to scare the rest into submission and then replace the yeeted ones with their representatives to keep them in check.

I'm not familiar with Subway's supply chain, but the restaurant I work at gets all of its food in cases full of smaller packages, so all they'd really have to do is have their PR department (the ones who print all of those posters) print out some DPRK stickers to put on the food and boom, you've got a case of cheese/meat/bread allowances courtesy of the glorious leader.

They go out of their way to change the sound which I don’t get as they will have like a 2 stroke mx bike sound like an old 4 stroke at bike or vice versa and then have a 4 cylinder sports bike sound like shit. They deliberately change them every time and even in the same movie they change the sounds of everything to sound like the opposite. No thanks. Trying to forget that movie ever excised. It's an extremely bad rip-off of the Wolverines. It would have only gotten worse if they had actually made any of the follow up movies that were planned based on the novels. It would have seen Australia over run, its armed forces defeated and the only hope they have is New Zealand. Yes they get saved and partly liberated by New Zealands armed forces.

The Show producers screwed the pooch so bad with the remake, that we never got the rest of films(or TV mini-series) based on the rest of the books of the series. What really pissed me off is that this movie is "based" in Spokane. I was born and raised in Spokane and not only does this not look anything like Spokane but no real person from Spokane would cheer for the wolverines, unless they like freed the Gonzaga mens basketball team or started the bloomsday run back up. Also military vehicles like tanks driving around in the streets of Spokane would be destroyed by the shitty road construction before a group of rebels took them out.

In the movie? in the remake they pretty much were backed up by the russians (somehow) but in the actual game that has the same theme (Homefront) The world fucked up when North Korea and South Korea merged in a single country under thre pretense of putting aside their differences (spoiler alert: fucking leader of North Korea used that as excuse to asimiliate South Korea) and then it was a matter to invade or other countries in the planet just plain surredering to them.
