This is why it is hard as a business owner to run any kind of bar with music/live entertainment.. especially if you cater to a younger crowd.. as young people cant behave dem self.. an dem will come into your establishment an shoot up di place.. an is YOU get di blame.. and is YOU lose your liquor license.. an haffi shut down. Even hiring security guard cant stop it. Better to cater to that older more mature crowd.. people who just want to spend dem likkle money an come out to enjoy dem self.. people who will support your business! The younger people dem only come to loiter and "hang out" wit dem friend dem.. and use your spot as a meeting or gathering place.. while you're trying to run your business. This is why as a sound man and DJ.. I play only older music.. Studio One and Lovers Rock.. Real Rub a Dub.. Old School R&B and Funk and Soul music.. music from the 60's to the 80's and 90's.. music that most of these young people of today cannot relate to.. music before dem time.. before dem was even born.. music that their parents and grand parents listened to.. music that will run dem out!

I don't think it was pointing out a particular generation, as it was YOUNG people, which I can definitely see and agree with what OP is saying. Even as teen back in the 90s, when I used to DJ with friends, you could clearly see the differences. Younger people have a greater tendency to act up and impulsive, whereas the older crowd - not so much.

No. That's not true, at all. A parent can be visible but STILL absent from growing up a child into a decent adult. I came from a single parent household, a single mother who raised 6 of us children and not one of us has gotten into any trouble with the law. My mother was and STILL till this very day a hands on parent involved in our lives, praying and providing guidance to us nonstop and we are all in our 30s and 40s now. It's up to the child to maintain proper decent upbringing and not go out into society and get themselves messed up in the foolery. It's all about family values, knowing yourself and keeping yourself grounded. EVERYTHING begins with SELF....
