Gundam 00 Awakening of the Trailblazer : Andrei's Sacrifice

Andrei gave his life, destroying a large ELS before it reached Earth.
A very touching scene, i have watched this at least 40 times that's why i wanted to share it with everyone. The insert music was perfect, coupled with this scene.

あれ、コクピットへ同化される感覚が届いて、一瞬恐怖するのですけど、市民を守る連邦軍軍人としてのプライドや矜恃が恐怖を押し返し、「こんな恐怖を市民に経験させてたまるか」とトランザムのオーバーロードを決行させたのですよね。 正に、市民を守る者を体現した人物になってました。彼の心の中で両親が微笑んで居たのは、記憶の中の両親も今の自分を誇ってくれるという理解から見たビジョンだったのでしょう。

Daryl I agree none can compare so far... GN Drives, VEDA, Trap Tieria + theme of understanding is a big big plus. And they stopped it just right, we don't want 00 to undergo Humans vs Humans but one side is on another planet or the moon

I don't think we can really compare the 00 Feddies to UC Feddies. I mean apart from the A-Laws 00's Federation is considerably less corrupt. I think a lot of UC feddies fight against Zeon because they can see a lot of the holes in the Zeon ideal. Case in point the idea of New Types being proof of spacenoid superiority kind of falls flat when you remember that the most famous newtype ever was born on earth.

The worst part about the Side-4 massacre is that if you've seen 08th MS Team they actually show the gassing in a flashback. It's pretty gruesome.

RIP to the 3 GNX pilots who chose to self destruct along with squad leader Smirnov, they weren't stuck to the giant ELS but still chose to override their machines to the point of self destructing it just to destroy the ELS heading for Earth.

There were 5 explosions total. So it is actually Andrei and other 4 GN-X IV pilots. When Andrei was shredding the front of colossal ELS with his buster sword, another GN-X IV was shooting its rifle on the body of ELS, and other 3 Tran-Am GN-X IV head to the direction of colossal ELS to join Andrei in desperate hurry.
