so to explain the Xi that got staggered but not knocked down in the second round, flight just gives natural stagger resistance which is what makes dealing with flying suits a slight pain if you have no heavy or build staggers in your kit, if you are staggered while in the air then it gets upgraded to a knockdown but getting staggered while flight is enabled doesn't necessarily mean you will be knocked down, the game seems to have a minimum height in which you are off the ground but for a lot of the mechanics it counts as you being on the ground reducing the air knockdown to just a stagger and disabling effects like Flight Control Programs boost efficiency or the V Fin Stabaliser skill the Messers have. basically when Demo hit the Xi it was below the minimum height so it didn't count as being in the air and only got staggered out of flight, had this happen to me a lot when playing as Penelope

The Xamel only having Ballistic Damage definitely helps it at 700 where most suits prioritize Beam defence

G-Doors's plate shield is kind of short-lived too, so I think the analogy fits.

@flailthroughs Indeed. Had a match in my G-Doors where an Awakened focused me all match. He could easily abuse his vulcans and funnels to shoot my shield away. Then it was just standard Raid vs Support at close range. And you know that song and dance.

Does the Xamel play like the Dom Gnomides? The suit looks fun to play but I'm pretty bad with the Gnomides.

Its pretty similar, but its a BIT smaller. Its taller but not as long, so its a bit easier to not get hit as much. Also it has more ammo on the heavy stagger.
