I meant to add it at the very end but forgot so the tl;dr - Even with the limited cards we have available today, I strongly believe the vision is clear for what type of game Bandai wants this to be. The gameplay is rich with important decision points and adding a few more key cards/mechanics mentioned in this video could really put this well above all other Bandai games in my opinion. VERY excited for more!

disclaimer before anyone says it - yes OBVIOUSLY being an IP focused game you're going to end up with a barrier for brining in non-gundam fans, but I believe the core gameplay is going to be good enough that people will dive in

For the "trap" effects you mentioned, it's something that can easily be worked using the stealth mobile suits, like the blitz from seed or the deathscythe from Wing, perhaps giving them a keyword like flash from MTG along with blocker or some on deploy effect.

Oh this is a great call! Trans-Am is another way they could lean into this so the more I think about it this could work with multiple series, both from a speed perspective and surprise factor

@@KozmicPlays Exactly, for stuff like transam, I feel a mechanic like MTG's first strike would fit, as it generally makes them faster/more agile

@@JebusGolpez I think we have first strike confirmed already actually from one of the JP spoiler threads, or maybe im misremembering. But agree I could see them adding it as a deals damage first sort of thing

@KozmicPlays That would be cool, what I've seen is being unblockable and the inverse of wing's breach, dealing damage to a unit when destroying a shield/base

I think Gundam is a massive improvement on the art side compared to BSS so more people will look into the game on that side alone. Really hopeful for the LGS events to bring in some new players

with the decks being "limited" to 10 resources I feel like effects that need you to pay 10 would be very interesting for Control. a base that you pay 10 to shuffle your trash into your deck and put the top card into shield would be right up my alley.

really excited for witch from mercury cards. would like to see Nika, Shaddiq, witches from earth and others. and also Suletta's alt art is absolute gorgeous

From watching the gameplay in the official youtube channel of the tcg i will always put the best unit in my future dexk when this releases, as from what i observed from that game is................................................... the ball, ball is good, ball is eternal

No Naruto was the best bandai ccg/tcg. It actually had a stack which is what most western style gamers like and prefer. Not having a stack limits what you can do from a design stand point because its too easy to make over powered cards that no one can reapond to. Well i do agree they made great changes from the original gundam card game. It still suffers from.being produced by Bandai

@@RarecuisineSaucegod-ig8bc That is the one thing I will say, that I'm not sure is maybe fixed with some card in full set 1, but the lack of a catch up element does feel a bit rough. Really want to see how they might address it with cards sand not be full "pray for RNG" like shields. Give me a on play shield gundam or something like Savior idk
