But my point still stands, due to Zeon's proclivity of building prototype MS and MA instead of focused production on mass produced effective mobile suits, the remnants, whether its Axis or some other group, always have these very powerful and very dangerous rarities because they were the unit that these pieces of equipment were issued to or by other means managed to aquire them in the immediate aftermath of the fall of the Principality of Zeon...

Altho they did go full on earlier stage of AUEG by providing them with Rick diaz, which later its variant schuzrum diaz are deployed as Axis force againts AUEG in ZZ. it is also stated that Neue zuel are sent by Axis secretly to Delatz fleet. Axis agent even wish them good luck and appologize to not join the battlefield to protect status quo by not revealing their involvement. at the end of delatz fleet rebelion Axis even negotiate to EF to shelter the surviving rebel remnant as neutral force.... They are very heavily involved in this.

@@marcosdheleno well if Jerid was in a Hizack Custom, that thing has an enhanced generator capable of operating all its beam weaponry instead of one at a time with the standard generator, gundarium alloy armor and higher specs than the original Gundam, so beating a copycat and cybernewtype with a mixed skill set from amuro and char should be easy.. Now, was he in a Hizack Custom? don't know and to be honest don't care all that much since I'm in the Jerid bashing camp, BUT it'd be abit of vindication for me if he was in one...

Interesting. I will refrain from judging Jerrid too harshly, given Zeta is chock full of people who made boneheaded mistakes. Reccoa and Katz are givens, Jerrid and Kamille fucked up a lot, and even Quattro completely bungled dealing with Haman Karn

How could Jerid beat any advanced pilot pre-Zeta? He couldn't even move the Mk.II without crashing it lol.

Jerid is an underrated pilot imo. He gets a lot of flak for his performances against Kamille, but a lot of people forget that he arguably beat Kamille twice, and had even spats with him numerous times. The truth is that most if not all Gundam rivals are outclassed by the protagonist character, including Char. He even holds his own against Char in the battle of Von Braun City, and easily defeats low tier aces in Emma and Apolly. It should also be noted that after Moaur died, Jerid stopped using his head in battle, and just started charging recklessly at Kamille, which leads to his death. Kamille was just THAT good.

Outside of Jerid killing Four, I never hated the guy. He was used by the Titans, and arguably had just as much of a right to seek revenge on Kamille as Kamille did to seek revenge on Jerid

One of Jerid's other issues was his cockiness. He often believed that since he was was a Titan, he was innately better than most other pilots. He could never accept the fact that Kamille was simply a better pilot than he was. You're absolutely right in that Kamille was THAT good. Much like Amuro, he gets to the point where he starts having problems in battle because the suit can't keep up with the pilot, and needs an upgrade, and that only becomes evident when he is fighting two aces in state of the art, transforming mobile suits. Also as you stated, Jerid held his own against Char. One of the biggest issues I have with a lot of fans is that a lot of them tend to overrate Char as a pilot. Char is a great pilot, but if you look at the facts, he is not Amuro's equal, and this became obvious once he received his Gelgoog Commander Type, a suit that in most aspects was equal or better performing than the Gundam. Even in the Zeong, he only able to force a draw, and part of that is because Amuro was caught by surprise when he learned the cockpit was in the chest.

tbf Kamille killed Jerid's gf and mentor/ best friend in back to back battles. I can understand why he'd be mad Jerid killed Kamille's mother, but I think it's implied he didn't know what was happening during that standoff, and had just been used by Bask

I'd say it's very much implied, throughout the battle Jerid believes that the container is some kind of bomb because he had to blow it up when the MK.II got too close (He was surprised when he shot the container and nothing happened, stating that he felt uneasy about the situation) He also somewhat apologized to Kamille later on with a nonchalant "I had no idea your mother was in there, sorry about that" (something to that effect)

The explanation of them not being used to space makes sense. Based on his interaction with Lilah, I'd say he only trained on earth and that space was a lot different from the earth. Kamille did have experience with Junior Mobile suits so that probably helped him adapt to real Mobile suits relatively quickly. So this quickly made him and his MK.II a formidable enemy.

I don't remember there being too much different in the 0079 novel. CCA changes include no Chan (they bring back Beltorchika Irma from Zeta, who survives and has Amuro's child), and the explicit confirmation of the deaths of Amuro Ray and Char Aznable at the end

I don't see a video of the history of the Gundam Mk II, so I'll ask my question here. What happened to the 3 units of Mk II? The best I can find is "they got a new paint job". Does this mean that the MK II we see Kamille (got real sick of hearing that name) piloting is actually all 3 units swapped out when needed? Does that mean one was kept operational and they used the other two units for spare parts? Did they use the parts to make something else?

I liked jerid he should have survived and then should have been a protaginist in zz as pilot part of the gundam team. It would have been interesting cause the narative would have been can he let all of the pain from the past go from fighting the aeug in order too help stop the neo zeon uprising. why do they need to make such ridiculous stories for those characters? i mean, there's kill, and then there's overkill, this is just trash. why couldnt they have the best scores for test pilots? hell, they could just be selected because they were good enough, but still green, but no, they need an impossible mission, with over the top challenges, and NO logic attached. good god.

i like to imagine that, the cybernewtype was actually busy because half of his brain was blaming the other half for the death of Lalah, and all he could do is yell Lalah!!!!! really hard, also the gundam he was piloting was actually not a real gundam, in fact, it was that statue in japan, with the bright lights. also, jerid wasnt just piloting a hi-zack, but a zaku 3 he got from a magical time portal, but he had to give it back afterwards because he realised he was dreaming the whole time and he actually got the position because the 247 people in line in front of him, got food poisoning...
