Hello, this is Japan Sci-Fi. So we got The main trailer
for SEED FREEDOM is here! Let's dive into a frame-by-frame
analysis. We can see a scene where Kira clearly betrays
his allies. This scene also reveals that Orb is hiding
Akatsuki and two mysterious mobile suits. What is Athrun
piloting? What is the meaning of beyond-Coordinators?
What does Kira's fall into darkness mean? And what about
the director's comment about 'revealing too much
information'?
First, let's start with the opening scene. The first
ship that appears is the new ship called Millennium,
which not only resembles the Minerva but also seems to
incorporate Orb's technology. The structure of the
central part of the ship is like Minerva, but overall,
it's not streamlined like a ZAFT ship; instead, it
appears to be a combination of block-style units,
similar to the Kusanagi and Tsukuyomi series. The large
catapult on the ship resembles the Takemikazuchi from
SEED DESTINY. The armaments resemble the Gottfried
anti-ship beam cannon series, placed at the front and
back. It seems Orb, having lost large carriers in the
previous war, built the Millennium to operate in sea,
land, and space. Like the Takemikazuchi, the Millennium
also appears to have a two-tier structure.
Next, we have a battlefield scene. Here, the Rising
Freedom Gundam moves from the front of the screen towards
the back. Looking at the bottom of the screen, we see
GINNs invading from the back, and beams coming from the
back, indicating that the GINNs and the Rising Freedom
Gundam are allies, and the enemies are from the Alliance's
105 Dagger series. As we've seen scenes of the Immortal
Justice and GINNs fighting together, it's clear that the
Foundation and Compass are collaborating. It's officially
known that the Foundation accompanies unmanned GINNs and
DINNs. Pay attention to the GINNs' movements; they're very
slow and monotonous, indicating they're unmanned. If they
were manned, they would move more dynamically, considering
cover and thrust. This monotony suggests the Foundation
has deployed unmanned units to this battlefield, using
expendable GINNs. It's likely these GINNs were
demilitarized and handed over to civilians as they
exceeded the limits set by the Junius Treaty between
Cosmic Era 71 and Cosmic Era 73.
In another scene, Kira is seen slicing through the arm of
a Destroy Gundam. The Destroy continues to fire beams even
after being sliced, an homage to Stella's machine that
kept firing even after being defeated.
Next, we see the cockpit of the Compass unit. The exterior
is glowing red, and it's shaking, suggesting an
atmospheric entry scene. They are descending to the Blue
Cosmos headquarters from high altitude. Looking at
Lunamaria and Agnes's cockpits, we can see they are
ZAFT-style. On the other hand, we see a full-sky monitor,
confirming that the Rising Freedom Gundam's sibling
machine, the Immortal Justice Gundam, is Shin's machine.
