I think Shoji Kawamori should work more on the Gundam series as his MS designs were awesome, he is currently busy doing Macross stuff.

"RGM-79N-Fb GM Custom High Mobility Type is a mobile suit that first appeared in Gundam Weapons Master Grade Model Gundam GP02A (Hobby Japan) and SD Gundam G Generation Zero." So the FB GM Custom is kinda canon thingie, not just random kitbash since it got into SD G Gen games.

Yup, that kondo type build was beautiful! By FAR my favorite build in the mook and it’s a shame you don’t see more builds like this out in the wild! A lot of westerners don’t like the style I think. I actually just finished a guncannon ver kondo and it was very fun to build.

Ah, the mg GP02, a kit that damn nearly drove me crazy when i was doing an overhaul type custom build of it (and it took me a full year to do). Probably gonna try to sell my build though since I'm moving out of the country next year, though.

As I've gotten older I've come to find the MG GP kits less and less appealing from just a looks perspective. The stock GP02A especially loses a lot of its imposing silhouette in the transition from Kawamori line art to model kit. The proportions just don't ever really line up neatly; funnily enough, the phrase that comes immediately to mind is from, of all things, _The Haunting of Hill House:_ "...it had an unbelievably faulty design which left it chillingly wrong in all its dimensions, so that the walls seemed always in one direction a fraction longer than the eye could endure, and in another direction a fraction less than the barest possible tolerable length." 😆 It makes me really appreciate the WIP photos that so many of the builds here feature. I, like so many others, really hope for a MG 2.0 soon, and for it I hope they take inspiration from the many creative GP02A renditions that have followed in the time since the original MG, especially ones like the Robot Spirits Ver ANIME, which I feel did a spectacular job capturing the personality of the GP02A.

I always wanted to like 0083 more but Kou Uraki was such an insufferable wimp. Really annoyed me. Chuck Keith was way cooler.
