Great video. Good to see normal people explaining how with a humble approach.

Instead of removing the valve cover to apply the chemical, have you tried the method of squirting the stuff into the intake manifold via a vacuum hose with the engine running? There are many how-to videos demonstrating techniques for doing this mostly using Seafoam but there are a couple using other chemicals such a Berryman's etc.

Bro...the only way to properly flush a crankcase is to completely drain all the old oil.......then, add 4 qrts of cheap oil with the bottle of flush chemical.......Idle for 5 minutes. Drain it all. Then add another 4 qrts of cheap oil by itself and idle for another 5 minutes because you MUST get ALL of that flush chemical out. Then drain it all. Now you are pretty much flushed of all the OLD oil from before and the flush chemical. BUT most important, you removed all the flush chemical from your crankcase. The way you did it in the video, you left a LOT of flush chemical behind, possibly up to a half cup. That changes the viscosity of the new oil you put in because the flush chemical is the consistency of water. Very bad for the bearings.
@burns12104 жыл бұрын
Eh. I used to just add the motor flush to the dirty oil, drive around the block, then change it. Never had a problem.
@javarithms8 жыл бұрын
If you want to see a difference drain the old oil put in new cheap oil and then use the engine flush. The new oil will come out black!!
@elmakednos7 жыл бұрын
I do the same.I bought motor medic but I didn't used it.I will see other videos and decide.

My thought exactly. It makes you wonder what color he expected to see when the old oil was already black.

That is a super clean engine, you have looked after it well. I never bother with engine flush for vehicles that get regular maintenance.

+Badgertronix Thanks Badger that seems to be the general statement about the engine flush
@danielsimpson89295 жыл бұрын
Your flush was fine. People that regularly maintain their engine properly, see less dramatic results from a flush. The b12 onto the lifters was a new one for me. Makes sense though. Rockers sure looked spotless. Thanks for the video. Then again who the fuck am I anyway. ;) cheers

Someone once told me using a product like this can cause leaks being that it'll dissolve some blockage sludge from some areas and make time areas for leakage. Made sense to me so I'm hesitant to try this stuff.

Yes, your oil is dark, but it does not mean it has reached its end of life. Does the oil smell burnt? Doe it smell of gasoline? It is best to do an used oil analysis to determine the oil condition. Check out Blackstone labs.

Man that engine bay is spotless, Ha I thought I was the only one that done that. I never tried the flush stuff I change my oils every 3K and ya it looks just as black. Any news on the oil leak investigation .

+Steve Rob I cleaned the engine seems to be coming out of the bottom weep hole of the bell housing I am going to take out my fuel injectors tomorrow and clean them so I will take a look at the oil sending and camshaft sensor tomorrow..I park in a ditch so the truck leans to the right so I think that is why it was dripping out the dip stick...

Javarithms I was about to mention that. I'm not a fan of these engine flushes as I believe it's Karosene or something similar. I'f ur gonna use this product, drain ur oil. Add new oil, preferably slightly thicker oil. Add ur flush and idle 5-10 minutes. A cheaper and more effective method is. Flush with ATF. Drain ur oil and , fill up with ATF plus new oil filter. Run on idle for 15-20 minutes. Drain atf, install another filter and new oil. Make sure new oil is run for about 1000 k as it will be contaminated with atf, no worries any atf left over helps clean ur engine. Drain and fill after 1000 k and ur good to go. once or twice a year per flush is sufficient. Make sure that you change ur oil when it's time to service ur engine. Maintenance is key.

Hi i have 03 tahoe 5.3 i have constant ticking noise at idle only does it all time cold and hot hoes away when rpm goes up 1000rpm any idea what the problem is oil pressure is normal only thing seem to help is using heavier oil weigh or lucas oil additives using factory 5w30 makes noise more noticeable any idea if what might be causing this noise oil always changed at 3000 miles using castrol gtx and acdelco oil filter ?
@RICKAFIX7 жыл бұрын
mine has been doing that for a very long time..years....there is a tsa from gm saying it is normal lol I just let mine engine warm up and it goes away
@alisaleh47587 жыл бұрын
Yeh but mines keep ticking even when warm as soon I accelerate a little it goes away notcible only in drive at low rpm idle i suspesious the lifters i was told they are roller lifter on cam and they wear out a little over time but using lucas oil stabilizer seem to make runs smooth but im afraid to damage oil pump due to its oil thickened

havent tried it in my car but what we did in my motorcycle was drained all the oil first, put some diesel in the oil pan, run the engine for a minute, drain the diesel, and pour another clean diesel, run the engine again and drain, repeat process until only clear diesel is draining. Then let it sit for a few minutes for the diesel settle at the bottom, then use blower or air compressor to blow away excess diesel before pouring in a clean engine oil..

@wysetech20008 жыл бұрын
That's a very clean engine inside. The engine flush has nothing to remove. I would stick with the oil you are using. Sometimes a minor leak will leak worse with synthetic.

+wysetech2000 I read that to about synthetics also thanks...I still want to know...next time I might try it with fresh oil then it should show if there is a difference I always figure it out after I do the video lol

how the hell do you expect the oil to look different if you're looking at the same exact oil?..... let all the black oil drain out.... put new clean oil in with the engine flush.... let it run.... and then drain that one too... then you can compare the two.... lol....
