It's a shame how his career at Nintendo ended. After the failure of the Virtual Boy, he was given a "window seat" which means he has shoved into a corner and forgotten. He gave them over 30 years of his life and they gave him a "window seat."

I just finished this book ( in french ) and it's said that gunpei yokoi wanted to resign because he was nostalgic of his past when he created with full inspiration and no thought of business at all ! But with the sale of the Virtual Boy which wasn't very good he doesnt want to leave Nintendo without a present that's why he created the game boy pocket which helped Nintendo ! This book is full of information everybody must read it !
