This Full Mechanics is (to me) the best model kit out there of the Aerial Gundam. The pannel lining will improve over time and remember NOT to use marking sticers but waterslide decals instead. I don't know what this kit comes with, but waterslides is always the best way to go. Hope you enjoyed the process, looks amazing, keep building! I started out building a 00 kit and have ended with 120 (more or less) model kits on my shelves. Excuse my english!

Great video! Just a quick tip: for applying stickers or water decals, it's handy to have a pair of tweezers. And don't feel like you have to stick to the instructions. I'm glad you enjoyed your first gundam build. With gunpla everything is optional and for your enjoyment. You can choose where to panel line, you can not panel line, you can paint it, you can cut it up and give it battle damage, you can weather it, you can "kit bash" where you mix parts from other kits, you can do heavy modifications, you can add panel lines with a scribing tool, you can just make it your own. Or you can just build the kit and put it on your shelf, it's up to you. I think it's fun trying all the different techniques to find what I like the most. You did great on your Aerial and I appreciate the production and effort you put into the video.

I too just recently got into gunpla and it's really fun taking my time in building it. Lesson I learnt is that you take your time and don't use too much force cause some model plastics are really delicate, although I haven't broken or cracked any pieces yet I have made some stress marks on pieces due to me applying too much force when removing and attaching some pieces. Also this is just a personal opinion but if you have a model with loads of decals Tey putting decals on the part you finished then move on to the next part, I find this helpful cause you are doing things in alternation.

@@MaxBuilds007 it depends, if it evaporates it can be fine (like in the panel lines, and as long as it's on polystyrene - sometimes there's ABS in gunpla), but if it gets in between parts you gotta pop em apart and clean it up. otherwise, it will make them brittle and crumble.

yea i feel you with the stickers, i've got 8 master grades and 1 high grade and i've only done the full sticker sheet for the latest mastergrade i did (the wing zero custom ver.ka). it ofc depends on the kit but for the wing zero custom...i hated putting them on but it looks soooooooooooo good with them on getting closer to a warmachine vibe with all the warning labels on there. but for all the others i only did the major decals anything you need to squint to see i skipped, if that tiny sticker sheet made you nautious btw steer clear of ver.ka's the sticker sheets you get with those are 9/10x just shy of an A5 sheet's worth. i also tend to panel line any edge/shape that will hold the panel liner but it can be borderline impossible if the the model has a lot of smooth shapes (like the Sinanju) the more panel lined lines the more detail appears to be there the more complex it looks (which i personally tend to like). but props for panel lining at all, and then clearcoating as well, it tends to make the panel lines really pop...or if you didn't clean up a line well enough you bring out the splotches you missed >.>

Glad you enjoyed your first kit. the FM Aerial is a pretty luxurious experience. Big warning though, Tamiya enamel panel liner like you are using is corrosive to Polystyrene Plastic that Gunpla is made out of and if it doesn't dry properly will corrode the plastic and make it brittle, in future I would recommend top coating the pieces you plan to panel line first, then panel line with the enamel liner. Additionally I would recommend panel lining the parts before assembly as if the liner flows along the cracks and inside the assembled parts is can pool and not dry properly leading to corrosion as mentioned earlier. If you don't want to go through all the hassle of top coating your parts ahead of time try a Flow Type Gundam Marker as they are less harsh than the enamel liners and only need acrylic thinner or white spirits to clean off and don't really need a top coat. Best of luck going forwards if you decide to continue to build

Yeah the sticker part sucks, I swapped to water slide decals and while they take longer, they look better and they’re less stressful because you can place it where you want a lot easier than stickers where you’re constantly ripping it off and readjusting, worrying about it losing the adhesive.

Yo that was epic man! Congrats ons seeing the process ALL the way thru! The average Plebla builder doesn't bother with the decals and top coats/panel lining. Even the ones thats do sometimes dont bother putting ALL the decals lol. Very impress with ur commitment and the research u put into the process. Glad you enjoyed the experience. I'd recommed getting a specific stand that'll help u display the shield in its guardian mode :) I'll be waiting for part 2 where u install the Led Kit to ur FM Aerial ;)

Putting on the Water slide decals is the most not-fun experience tbh since they are quite fragile, moreover when the decals are tiny and so many.

You can merge torn decal with Mark Softer it melt the decal to properly stick on surface. So a little mistake might be a good lesson to you

I'd say Dry Transfers would be worse since they are more unforgiving to get wrong and tedious (although they look fantastic!). Water Slide is pretty forgiving and you have a good amount of time to make adjustments compared to dry transfer or sticker decals. It's definitely tedious but worth it!

I'm gonna be real, the first time you got recommended I loved the video, but I just assumed you were like a video game streamer with half a million subs on youtube and 5k concurrent streamers trying out gunpla for a lark, and I didn't want my subscription feed bombarded with more videos of peoples gameplay so I didn't subscribe. But then I got recommended one more video and I checked the channel out a little closer and I'm happy I did because I would have totally missed out otherwise.

Oh wow, this is a relatively new channel isn't it.... Well... I've been paid to build Gunpla before... and I feel that pain... getting stabbed by an hobby knife. Or worse... cutting too deep using a hobby knife. If I may make a suggestion, there is this thing called "gunprimer raser plus", which made my hobby knife obsolete. Never again will I use my hobby knife to cut gunpla plastic. And it saves sooooo much time. Just cut the parts from the sprue using a nipper, then sand it down using the raser. Somehow it level the nub so fast... and yet doesn't "bite" onto the flat surface where the nub is (unless you intentionally do so) And the fact that it's not made in china, just give me a pleasant feeling... knowing how much china has pirated gundam model kits. It IS a bit expensive, for a sanding tool. But if I just make clean build... I litteraly only need 2 tools : The nipper (Godhand or Mineshima) and Raser. No need for hobby knife. No need for sanding blocks/paper/stick of various grit. Literally just that 2 tools When building an MG, that raser saves me HOURS
@MaxBuilds0077 ай бұрын
This is an elite advice comment! I’m now currently pretty much just using the nub cutters and sanding tool. Trying to stay away from the hobby knife unless I have to use it since it tends to do more damage than good. I’m gonna look into that sanding tool you recommended since it sounds insanely helpful. Thanks for the help homie!
