The radio show will always be remembered as the original "Gunsmoke" show starring William Conrad, Parley Baer, Howard McNear and Georgia Ellis. It was the last dramatic radio show to be aired from Hollywood in 1961 having run from April 26, 1951 until June of 1961 Once the cast learned of its closure, it was indeed a very sad day for all concerned as they all truly loved the years they had worked on the "Gunsmoke" radio shows..
