The fact that you give valuable opinions, operate the gun, show it in the hand and from different sides and show down the sights makes this the best gun collection videos ive seen regardless of the actual guns. But your choice in firearms is excellent too. Nothing to gimmicky and you sound knowledgeable plus you used proper gun safety. If youre doing a collection video theres no reason to have multiple firearms loaded, youre taking the time to set up the guns and the shots so you should have time to unload and check them, except for maybe the gun youre carrying at the moment. Also i was born in 88 so i grew up on movies, tv shows and games featuring alot of these guns. I need a nice Beretta 92a1 or M9A3 in my collection. In my opinion they fit my large hands perfect and are easier to control and shoot accurately than any other 9mm.
@GreatLakesGunner6 жыл бұрын
I appreciate it. I took a lot of time making and editing the video. I always follow safety precautions when i am demonstrating a firearm. On a day to day basis, they are all loaded up in the safes with loaded mags inserted, but only the one I'm carrying ever has a round in the chamber with the exception of the revolver.
@rodgersmith15736 жыл бұрын
Having previously owned an M9, and currently in possession of an M9A3, go for the A3 if you are able to do so. The M9's and 92's can be had for relatively cheap nowadays on the surplus market, however, the A3 with the Vertec-style grip, the dovetailed front sight, tritium sights, threaded barrel, updated safety, more aggressive front and backstrap serrations, railed dust cover, etc. all make for a handgun you will be hard pressed to find room for any improvement on. Even if you prefer the 'humped' backstrap of the 92/M9, they include a rubber overmold grip with the firearm to give that.
@GreatLakesGunner6 жыл бұрын
@@rodgersmith1573 the M9A3 has had my attention for awhile its features are pretty much fully upgraded out of the box. The rail being a feature alone on a Beretta is a good reason to pick one up, that's not even to mention all the other features that you said. I will still probably wait on it for a bit but it's not out of the realm of possibility. The current Beretta on my wishlist is a Brigadier.

That is one hell of a collection. Props! I was curious about you input on Windham Weaponry? Would you consider them a a top-tier AR platform such as Palmetto, BCM, etc. Or would you say Windham is more lower tier? I've heard good things about their gunsmiths. Them being a more "old school" background coming from Bushmaster which was one of the top dog firearm providers back in the day, at least that's what my grandfather tends to believe. I was just curious to get your input and point of view on Windham ARs

They are few and far between, just gotta look around. I happened to find mine at a local gun show, an elderly gentleman was running a small table and had an assortment of really cool older stuff. I really wanted to buy his Mauser c96 with original holster stock but it wasn't the caliber I wanted.
@BrassJunkie6 жыл бұрын
GunSoap, I would love to get my hands on a c96 as well but the .30 Luger doesn’t appeal to me, I’m after the red 9 variant (if I can ever afford one). I already got sucked into the world of 7.65 Browning but at least there are enough interesting guns chambered in that cartridge to make it worth going down the rabbit hole. Hey I really like your collection. I have many of the same guns you have. I bought my first 22 pistol at TG&Y when I was about 12. I had to get Mom to get it for me. It was a Colt 22 Targetsman, brand new in box for around $60 or $70. I’ve seen the same gun for over $700 at gun shows. I got my Colt Series 70 Government Model for about the same price. Of course this was long ago. I have a lot of different calibers and makes but lately I like Sigs and any 22lr pistol and my favorites are Ruger 10/22s, I have about 12 different ones. Sir, I mean not to insult you in any way, but a few points: Revolver etiquette: The Hollywood 'cylinder flick' can damage the cylinder bolt, especially on large caliber revolvers. The proper use of such would be to close the cylinder via the crane, then index the cylinder by rotating until the bolt loads into the next notch. You have a healthy number of handguns to your collection; Might I suggest looking at a Surefire X-300 U-A as a very quality addition for your choice of carry gun? You will find many holsters suddenly available to you, and to be honest, a laser does not generally have much use in a civilian setting as it is (to exclude IR and night vision use). Some may argue it allows for quicker shots, but if you are focusing on your laser's dot, you aren't focusing on your front sight. Lastly, if I may be so bold as to give an opinion; Sell the majority of your arsenal. Crazy, yes? Hear me out. I see in other comments you wish to obtain an SWD M11. Why not instead the 'real deal'? I tell people all the time that if they can manage it, look into purchasing a machinegun. Even if as nothing more than an investment. A couple of years ago, I was financially blessed enough to make a purchase for my first (and currently only) machinegun - an Cobray SWD M11A1 for the sum of $5,000 (+ tax/tax stamp/Class III transfer fee/Trust fee/etc.). An enormous fee for a jam-o-matic, yes. HOWEVER, the base firearm has GAINED in value already by about $2,000 to $3,000. That is the beauty of a TRANSFERABLE machinegun, as unfortunate as it is, they only climb in numbers the further we travel in time away from the registration cut-off, May 19, 1986. In my situation? I made my purchase to USE. It took some time, and more money to get 'er up and running almost flawlessly, of course. I went through and replaced the sear with a Lage sear, sear spring, trigger/disconnector spring, the trip, installed an extended Lage manufacturing safety, everything down to the roll pin and ball detent for the safety itself. Next, I purchased a Lage Max-31A Mk II Upper receiver. This not only slowed the rate of fire from 1,800 RPM to about 700, it also re-chambered it for 9mm Luger, and two added benefits include 1) the use of Suomi Kp/-31 72 round drum magazines, or 50 round 'coffin' mags. 30 round new-production Shockwave Z-mag-S are also availabe. And, 2) it moves the entire feed/chambering forward of the lower receiver (the serialized part, thus the actual machinegun), removing the wear of the lower's feed ramp, and only relying on the lower receiver for the fire control group. In other words, the 'valuable' piece is under less stress. If interested, see the first post on Pg. 12 of this forum (Pg. 11 also has a few photos showing the other upper receiver I first ran): ar15armory.com/forums/topic/105822-nfa-picture-thread/?page=12

My Biggest mistake was not picking up a full auto m11a1 for $5000 a few years ago
@rodgersmith15736 жыл бұрын
@@moeynola6747 It's never 'too late' to get into machineguns, if you can manage it. Ask yourself this question: Do you believe that any title II firearm (Short barrel rifles/shotguns, suppressors, machineguns, destructive devices, AOW's) will EVER be removed from the NFA? The most likely of those to stand a chance - suppressors - they already tried a couple of years ago to remove from the NFA, and it failed. Machineguns, also known as the root of all evil to any liberal, will never be removed by means of legislation. It is a shitty situation, but the fact of the matter is, they make for an EXTREMELY good investment due to limited supply and fairly high demand. Now, personally, I never plan to sell mine. It could be worth $30,000.00 by the time I'm 80, and it won't matter to me. The only way I 'may' consider it is when funding something I might consider a better machinegun. Even then, that brings me to my next point. Richard Lage is currently working on a Max11a1/15 upper receiver for the M11A1. That is a 5.56 upper for the 'Baby Mac'. These things are becoming extremely versatile, and difficult to beat for the money. The downside? That upper receiver will likely be as much as the already developed one for the M11/9 - $3,000.00...And I'm considering selling the Barrett to fund it.

Get water to near boil with dye in it, 1-2 caps full depending on how much water. Take mag apart and place it in the dye for 5 ish min or until color you like is achieved. It stays on pretty well, as good as paint or better, if you hate it just bleach it off no issues. Then add Dole Banana sticker and you have a banana mag.

Ain't gonna happen though because most US citizens would not stand for it. However, it is frightening to see how much support they are gaining lately.
