My dad used to have a mk2 GTI back in the day. Mum told me he was crying for one when they got married as he wasn't sure if he could afford it then 🤣. Did it up and actually got featured on a car mag. The funny story is he put it on sale and someone called about it saying they want to feature it on a magazine.

This is definitely a dream car for me. I was in the process of building an 86' Cabriolet with a mk4 VR6 engine and trans but had to sell everything off due to unexpected life bullshit. Any chance you'll meet a fan from the states? I'll be flying to London from the United States November 17th through the 20th before heading off to Ireland.

Kumarasamy Suthakaran a true Quattro system is a lot better than Haldex. A Haldex is more front wheel biased and only transfers power to the rear when it feels slip. I’m not sure but I’d guess that they’re pretty similar as far as parts wise tho.

12v VR6 24v VR6 Both are 2.8s R32 are 24v 3.2s hence the 3.2 Exhaust note preferences are usually 12v R32 24v I've gotten complimented instead of ticketed by police in my straight piped 24v 2.8

Bottom end is the same, top on the R32 is 24v, the MK3 Golf VR6 and Corrado were 12v.

Ryan Jon unfortunately the likes of “nangkang” amongst others have convinced an entire generation, that putting cheap tyres on everything stretched is a brilliant idea The reason cheap tyres are cheap is because they don’t do the research, they don’t put half as much reinforcement in the tyre and they aren’t tested to extremes As you say it’s the one and only thing you really need to be doing it’s job ALL of the time Don’t be a cheapskate it’s not just your safety and money it’s everyone else who you drive near too!

Travis Worthington well it’s not the lightest engine, nor the most tuneable, it sounds nice that’s about it, I’d have put a 20vt BAM in there myself, with some choice mods it would see 350bhp He would have to run decent tyres then 😂
